    I like to use flat-head precision screwdrivers as pry-bars for this sort of thing. They get in tight spaces well due to the thin blade edge, the bevel gives you some automatic leverage, and they can take a fair bit of torque while actually prying stuff apart. And if you have a set (seriously, everyone here should have a set) but don't want to take a chance bending it out of shape, you can pick these up one by one at Sears for just a few bucks.

    It works better and is safer than an x-acto.

    i've taken 10 or so of these off now, cutting around the seam with an exacto and prying gently with a screwdriver will work, or cutting it at his eyes should make it easy,
