As the title suggests...anyway to remove or lessen stress marks? Just noticed I caused some stress makes on MP SS's Tail fins, the verticles...the sharp tips that stick out...didnt reven realives i was touching them. I may just paint them since they seem to be the only part of the fin that isnt.

    Thanks for your help guys.

I think painting would be the only option as a stress mark is a defect in the plastic.

An open flame will make a stress mark fade, but you have to be careful to not set it on fire. I'm not sure how great it would work on something like MP SS's wing joint stress marks, but for a part like that, it should work ok.

If you want to try it, practice on something like a model sprue first.

I've got the same D$*# problem with my Mp Starscream. The wings are very delicate.

I heard a heat gun, under the proper supervision, will work wonders on stress marks.

I have only heard of this recently...but I have seen the results, and it does work. I have yet to try it myself, as I do not own a heat gun.

i don't own one either...Mine dosnt have any stress marks on the wing joints at all...just the pointy tops of the vertical pointy tops..I think I am going to either paint them silver or white. cant decide. Maybe blue since the orignal SS's vertical tails were blue.

If you don't have a heat gun, a hair dryer might work. Just doesn't get as hot.
