I'm restoring my old Overlord wich has been in a box for about 10 years. Most of the screws and springs have gone rusty and left stains all over the place. What's the best way to remove them?

Put some coke and after few hours wash and dry well... Seriously... The Mythbusters proved that coke is good to remove this kind of rust... :)  :)  :)

You might try lemon juice as well.

Coke can dissolve a nail in a week. If anything it will destroy the whole toy rather than fix it...

This is the kind of thing that has been DISPROVED. Coke won't dissolve a steak, much less a piece of metal. The best you get is a really damn rank piece of meat and a rancid bowl of moldy Coke for it to swim in.

Don't use coke...your likely to stain the plastic even more.

You need the RIGHT tool for the job.

Barkeeper's friend, found with the Comet and Ajax Cleansers at your local market. Takes rust right off, and should not hurt the toy at all.
