    Hey radicons,

I just got my hands on a rid scourge that has been painted to look like optimus prime. I need some help cause I want to remove the paint so it looks like scourge again. I want to just remove the top layer of paint without damaging the original paint or at least not damaging it that much.

Can someone please tell me how to do so and what materials I need?

Thanks in advance for the help.

That's a bit tough unfortunately. Because there really isn't much of a way to separate the different layers for removal. Not that I know of anyway..

Soak the pieces in pinesol overnight, the top coat will flake. the original paint will withstand the solvents a little longer however if the first coat is stubborn and you have to soak it for more time then the original paint will also be affected, but hey you can clean the whole figure an apply the original paint scheme again. (and oh yes DO NOT SOAK TRANSLUSCENT OR CLEAR PLASTICS(like windshield) IN PINESOL as they will melt)

Would it work if I dilute the pinsol with water and rub it on some pieces?
