Customs: Removing factory paint from a specific part of a piece

    I just got a Superlink Galvatron G, which is awesome, but I want to remove the paint on the crown so it's just the bare purple plastic. I don't want to remove the paint on the face though, so I don't think submerging is gonna work. Any advice would be appreciated.
