Every time I see the Cybertron Soundwave I want to buy it, except I can't stand that Decepticon symbol on his chest. Is there a way to remove it that won't end up with me destroying the entire toy? Constructive comments only please.
paint over it with a roseart colorart metallics gold marker (its the same gold as the chest paint)... but why? its a PURRFECT homage to the original soundwave
Seriously, screw the crappy Cybertron/Galaxy Force cartoon and it's continuity. Soundwave, especially a Soundwave that looks like that, can't be anything but a Decepticon. But if you really want to remove it be sure to test whatever solvent you pick. Some solvents eat plastic, some don't. Some eat one kind of plastic and not another. Some are fine if you imediatly wash the surface afterwards. Get a sacrificial scout 'bot with the same clear plastic and give it a go.
why do all that when you can just rub a marker like I said over it?? I used the marker on loc soundwave and its identical in color.
ah yeah right, sorry.. well testors plum paint mixed with future floor polish will fix it if he affects the tint during removal
I'll look into one of those marker things. I've never painted/unpainted something before, and a marker seems less dangerous than solvents.
Id rather have a show accurate figure over a G1 homage anyday. i also want to take that insignia off of the figure.
You could just see about getting a GF version, it doesn't have the faction symbol (which amusingly enough is my one complaint about it).
I did look into that, but removing one symbol is worth paying 1/4 of the price and being able to get it locally.
