Customs: remove smoke smell?

    Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for known methods to remove smoke smell from Transformers? This recent Craigslist haul seemed great until the drive home when I could really smell it.

    A lil vinegar and warm water.

    Is that a rub or soak?
    Does it hopefully not smell like vinegar afterwards? :)

    actually, i would like to recommend you soak all of them in a pail of soapy water (i used dish washing detergent)
    and wash them off with a good spray from the shower or a garden hose.

    I worked for me. no smell after that too.

    ive found the smell on smoky toys can reduce over time, in some cases to where i couldnt detect it any more.

    I think a lot of the smell was the box in which the guy gave me the figures, but on some of them it is still noticeable if I get close.

    The soaking in soapy water sounds more favorable to me, so I think I will try that first :)
