    Color grading.

I loved Bumblebee and I’m glad for this new direction, but I love Bay’s color style and those movies look beautiful, especially those desert scenes in HDR.

Also, yes it was sometimes hard to tell what was going on, but those combat sequences in DOTM. That caused my eyes to bleed. In a good way.

    Arrival to Earth

    "Get your hands off my...!"

    "Criminals are hot."

    Brawl

    Blenderbot

    Forest Battle

    Jetfire

    "One man..."

"I am directly beneath the enemy …"

    Decepticons in Africa

    Laserbeak's assassinations

    Optimus offers Sentinel the Matrix

    Sentinel's betrayal

    DC Invasion

    "We will kill them all."

    "This is a total …."

    Sentinel vs Autobots

The Creators caused the dinosaurs' extinction.

    Ratchet's death. Anything with Lockdown.

    Autobots Reunite

The whole sequence from the above mentioned scene, to the KSI break-in, to Galvatron's chase, to Lockdown capturing Prime, to the freeing of Prime is the best sequence of events in all six films. Forget the nostalgia of the 2007 film and how it introduces live action Transformers, or the nostalgic, fan-pleasing Bumblebee, I consider the underrated Age of Extinction to be the height of the Transformers films (with Dark of the Moon a close second).

    Dinobot Charge

    "I'm like a fat ballerina..."

    Lockdown vs Prime

    Daytrader

"Go to Hell!" "This planet is Hell!"

    Cogman

I don't have many myself, but I do admit i always liked the first 45 minutes to an hour of the first Transformers movie, particularly the scene where Mikaela and Sam decide to go with Bumblebee after his fight with Barricade. That's probably the only stretch of the Bayverse films I truly enjoy, which is funny because I quite liked to loved Bumblebee, which is kind of the family friendly 2 hour version of the beginning 45 minutes of TF 1.

I agree with this. Honestly the reviews that are out pretty much rip him to shreds, as does twitter. I actually feel bad for him, it would be rough reading all that after all his hard work. But then again that’s one of the downsides to directing such a franchise.

I don’t agree with a lot of the choices in the Michael bay movies, and not all those choices came from Bay, some or Orci and Kurtzman as well as others. Bay wasn’t solely responsible for the bad things, but he certainly gets the blame. I am gonna watch all 5 transfomers now to pass the time until I can see bumblebee again. Bumblebee is the superior film for me, but it doesn’t make me dislike the others

The bits I liked seemed to either be the action parts that were shot well or the music.

If I had to pick just one I'd go with Prime jumping out of the plane. Just something crazy fun about Prime drives out of the back of the plane, transforms, and then parachutes down. Doesn't hurt that the elements like framing were done nicely for that scene.

Deep Wang, Sam's mom, Tessa's boyfriend, TF1's hacker subplot, Sam's tantrums in DOTM, transformium, product placement beauty shots, slo-mo Murican flags in the background, characters doing that nervous shouty thing where they're trying to con/spoof their way out of situations, old fart Jetfire, dinobots with extra heads and horns on top of their horns, merlin guy, sock fulla matrix, chariots of the gods/ancient aliens storylines, glistening sweaty tans, one line TF characterisations. They will live on in our hearts.

    TF2007:

-The soundtrack: What I've Done and Second To None are heat
    -The opening base attack
    -Barricade's first transformation
-The yard scene (yeah, it's funny to me)
    -Bonecrusher vs Optimus
    -Megatron's badassery
-The amazing videogame for PS2 and DS

    ROTF:

-The soundtrack again: New Divide and 21 Guns were summer '09 jams
    -The Forest battle
-Sideways (Short screen-time, but man he's badass)
    -Pretty fun desert battle climax
-Xbox 360 game was great too

    DOTM:

-The fucking scale in this movie was unbelievable
    -Optimus's rampage
-The entire Chicago climax, let's be real

    AOE:

-Lockdown was the sequels's best villain
    -Pretty badass climax
    -Autobots with more screen-time/personality

    TLK:

    -Mark Wahlberg's hairstyle
    -Anthony Hopkins
    -The first hour is fine
-The Decepticon Suicide Squad scene was cool

    2007:

    Bobby Bolivia's lot
    The Autobots' arrival
The Autobots in Sam's yard (yes it has problems, but the overall situation is neat).
Most of the end battle, especially Bumblebee vs. Brawl

    Revenge of the Fallen:

    Finding Jetfire
The Egypt search for the Matrix.
    Optimus combining with Jetfire

    Dark of the Moon:

    Opening Ark sequence
    The Mexican standoff
    Autobots leave Earth/return

    Age of Extinction:

Pretty much everything in Texas, with Cade finding and fixing Optimus.
Optimus upgrades and meets with the other Autobots.
Infiltrating KSI/Bumblebee gets mad at Stinger
    Lockdown's ship
The end battle with Optimus, Bumblebee, and Lockdown

    The Last Knight:

Merlin and the knight (honestly, this whole sequence was well-done, on a technical level)
Pretty much anything in Chicago, the junkyard, or the abandoned town
    Megatron gets his troops
Bumblebee and Hot Rod during WW2
    Optimus vs Bumblebee fight.
TLK's end battle was probably the funnest end battle for me, especially the stuff with Infernocus.

I back this up. As bad as the movies are, the first movie completely hooked me when I saw it at home and I couldn't get enough of Transformers after that. I'm sure that many people on here, whether they love Beast Wars or the IDW comics or Animated most now, got their start watching the first movie the same way I did. This series really was a gateway for so many fans of the franchise and that may be the Bay films' best legacy.

I am (more or less) a fan of Michael Bay.
I am a fan of the Bayverse.
I even proclaim how RotF is nowhere near as bad as people say.

And I find that instagram post to be bull crap.

    Oh man, best moments?
-everything from the 2007 movie. Nostalgia is STRONG with this one. Blackout's base attack, arrival to Earth, Scorponok's village attack, Megatron escaping from Sector 7, the entire final battle starting with Optimus' fight with Bonecrusher.
-From ROTF, the forest fight, the Shanghai battle, the Decepticons arriving on earth (I really love the sequence where they destroy the aircraft carrier), Devastator's combination sequence.
-DOTM-Laserbeak (especially "is your daddy home?), the dreads chase scene/mexican standoff, the Decepticons teleporting into Washington DC, Optimus' fight against Sentinel
-AOE-Lockdown killing Ratchet, Optimus fighting the dinobots and later riding them into battle, Optimus vs Galvatron
-TLK, Dragonstorm's appearance during the medieval scenes, Nemesis Prime vs Bumblebee, and the short but sweet Optimus vs Megatron scene (we were brothers once!)

The opening scene of AOE with the fleet of starships and the Creator's hand was really something. After DOTM, I thought the movieverse was over, so sitting in the theater watching a fourth film felt a bit unreal. And the focus on non-Cybertronian aliens really gave the scene a different atmosphere. It's like Lockdown said, we thought we (humans and TFs) were the center of everything. We had no idea...

    HAH!

If disliking the last four Bay movies (I do agree most of TF1 is at least a guilty pleasure)and praising Bumblebee is a "dishonor", then call me a fucking heretic because those films are GARBAGE films with beautiful tinfoil CGI, bad character design, and shit characters. Fanboy fallacy is the worst idea to get a point across and I feel bad for people thinking doing this is fine.

    Don't @ me, don't shake me hand.

To this day that is one of the most photorealistic Transformers sequences. Idk what it is but the texture on BONECRUSHER with the tan color against the gray pavement just sold it for me

Something about the robots in the newer movies is just too "glossy".

    BONECRUSHER was gritty .

Gosh I love Bonecrusher. He was just so cool, great vehicle mode, great design, even managed to get a few licks on Optimus freakin' Prime. My mum loves him too, but whereas my love is pure and unconditional, her love is driven by a mutual hatred of buses.
