Reading the, "Never seen again" animated shows, thread in GD brought back memories about my childhood. Got me thinking about toys that I had tha never made it big. So I decided to make a thread where we can honor them or at least remember them.

So yeah does any one remember Army Ants, Robotix, Inhumanoids, Mad Balls, Pocket Power, Bionic Six?

Also, there was this one toy robot that transformed into a combination lock. Its was dicast I believe. Came out around the begining of G1. Anyone know what toyline he came from?

Kind of, yes, yes, yes, no, and yes.

I vaguely remember that one as part of a series of "functional" transforming die-cast figures.

My contribution to the thread: Insectaurs and Captain Power.

jafo I was totally going to add Captain Power, damn you :p

I suppose I will add Centurions to the list - the guys with these suits you could plug all kinds of crazy armor onto

    X-E article about them

There's also the Computer Warriors line by Mattel, it debuted in 89. Kind of a Transformers take off in a way - tiny little guys that turned house hold items such as Pepsi cans into battle vehicles and such. I liked those a lot

Remember them? In most cases I can still sing the theme songs for the cartoons. Yes,. I'm that sad. :)

There's also COPS, Visionaries, Wind Raiders, Sky Commanders, Centurions, Ring Raiders, Star command, Wheeled Warriors, Blackstar...etc. etc.

This is an early 90s toy, but does any remember transforming military gears that would turn into bases and such. I can't remember the name of the brand to save my life.

Anyone remeber Shadow Strikers? I've got the entire line, with the exception of one toy. Not sure if it was ever released or not.

I have some Dinoriders down in a tub with my bashed up GI Joes. I believe the only ones still intact are are the Triceratops and the flying Dino (what ever that thing is called).

    I forgot the [/sarcasm].

Point is, it's obscure as shit. One fig and one vehicle, packaged together as a one-shot deal 25 years ago. I had one as a kid, but lost it along the way. Took a lot of patience and a pretty penny to get it back as they very rarely even show up on Ebay, and when they do they're expensive.

That brings to mind the 3 3/4" Raiders of the Lost Ark figures. The only one I had as a kid was Indiana Jones with "whip cracking" action. It might still be boxed with all my other 80s toys in my parents' attic.

    I used to love:

Robotix (Never had any toys though :( )
    Centurians
    Bravestarr
    MASK
Dino Riders (I had TONS of the bastards...loved the Trex, Diplodicus and Dynonichus. I always played with them with my Definitely Dinosaurs toys)
And I don't know if they ever made toys based on the DinoSaucers show, but I loved the show, always wanted toys of them.

That is so freakin' awesome! I add that to the list of things I need to get, along with the Argentinian release of the MacGyver figure and jeep.
