On July 1, 1979, Sony released the...

    Sony Walkman cassette player

I remembered owning one in the tail end of the 1980s and broke down before the next millennium rolled out.

I fell old now, since I moved to CDs and MP3s for music.

The day I got one was a day I will long remember. We moved almost every year across country when I was little, and even when we were not moving we went on long car trips. All my dad listened to was COUNTRY! I HATE COUNTRY! I took to using headphones on a big Boombox, later after my Dad got tired of buying 10 D Batteries at a time he got me a Walkman. I still remember the happy dance I did.
