I agree that it seems worse now. Movie craziness on top of the 3rd party hate/love and some threads are just unreadable.

It's a slow period with no big announcements and it's rather unclear what Hasbro will or will not do. So with everyone caught up on their collections until new stuff hits the shelves we've all got the nothing new blues.

 

I agree with the OP, but of course I just don't dig Transformers Prime...can't get into the show, same for G.I. Joe Renegades...so unless there's news of new Generations or more Classicverse exclusive like Runabout & Runamuck I just can't get excited.

 

wow one bad season and its all over? this is the toy company that has been with us for years, and a few bad months are enough to turn us against them

 

If Hasbro would sell Prime here then maybe there would be something to be excited about. We have months to wait (unless buying online). 3rd party get a leg up because they sell to anyone without politics.

wow, I left this thread with no responses, and it turned into this? seriously, you guys are diks. I was just saying how there doesn't seem to be as much anticipation for upcoming Hasbro products. the prime toys look decent, but I am not interested because they strike me as a mix of movie and animated style, neither of which I like. 4 or 5 years ago, there was great anticipation for new energon or chug releases across the board.

I do appreciate the fact that some people brought up the excellent point of "no leaks/prototype shots" which I didn't even realize. That pretty much answered my question.

What's up with all you hyper sensitive douches who feel the need to lash out at people who have anything contrary to say about Hasbro? What I said really wasn't even a shot at Hasbro. I may be wrong, but all I was doing was stating my opinion. The majority of the responses make this place seem very unwelcome and unfriendly.

 

It's not so much about Hasbro as much as it's the same lash-out against people who'se preferences are different. It's been that way since '06/'07. Why should we expect it to change now?

Well this seems to be the problem. There's plenty of stuff coming our way, it's just not stuff you like or care about. The same happened to me during the Beast Machines /A/E/C era. It'll happen again someday, but it's not a problem on Hasbro's part.

 

When new releases are out people are so busy looking for releases or enjoying their finds that it's all a fan thinks about.

In the slow periods you start thinking about the holes in your collection and the fear can creep in that some characters will always be missing from your collection.

It's kind of like your paycheck. When you first get the check you are all happy, but then you pay the bills, get groceries, gas up the car and you start to get that worry about making it to the next pay day. When you have plenty you don't worry and when you don't have plenty that's when worry starts.

 

I dunno, I hang out in the MP Spec thread (both the old and the new). When the insider comes in and throws around hints and plays those (VERY WELCOMED) games with the community it seems like a lot of excitement is generated.

Maybe the OP is only sticking to announced news and not trying hard enough to find insider news.

Personally I have come across Hastak plans up until 2014 and it is all very exciting news.

 

But his question was answered with the whole prototype leaks thing.

The initial question, yes. He wanted to know why we hadn't seen exciting upcoming stuff from Hasbro, and the answer was "Yes we have, Prime" and "less info leaks". He answered that we wasn't really into Prime (which he has every right to), and I just elaborated on that.

Honestly the OP wasn't even that bitchy, but the wording made it look a bit whiny perhaps. He explained himself later.

 

I hate BM, but you don´t see me raging about it everyday. Only once a month or so.
