Ohh, I see now! No wonder that picture had Sam and Carly on it!
Sam and Carly are riding on Prime's jetpack...?
Doesn't that seem a little dangerous, Optimus?
Prime: Oh, shut up! And give me your face!
But I've been dead since 2007!
Prime: Yet the fans won't stop crying about you, blues!
Ratchet: It's Jazz, Prime.
Prime: Yeah, poor Ralph.
it doesn't look the same.
Its just a little theory.
That's totally the jetpack. The massive guns on the front are probably the guns he uses in the trailer.
Not the same thing. Prime's jetpack has two large thusters attached at the tip (so they're free-floating and can pivot) The ship has them connected closer to the thuster end, and it's all grey, Prime's pack has blue parts with red flames on them.
Also, Carly is pretty clearly exiting/entering a hatch on it. That entire section is absent from the jetpack.
There's a whole bunch of those flying around in the air during the night shots of the Chicago invasion. While it's theoretically possible that the one seen on set is Prime's jetpack, it's more likely, based on what's in the trailer that this one is a generic Decepticon attack ship.
The ship that sam and carly are flying in is clearly seeing here in this screen cap. It seems to be a regular cybertronian ship that maybe the humans shot one down repaired and now the humans use it to help fight the war. Just my thoughts. Also all those ships have to be shockwaves army following him from cybertron!
I agree with almost everyone. That does look like its part of Prime's jet pack. Maybe they're hitching a ride?
Very good eye! I think he is onto something.
Those are different looking engens on prime and the ship we have been seeing is grey, not black and also the ship we have been seeing doesnt have wings.
In the picture I posted up with the ships circled. You can see the 2 huge turbines along with the 2 front gun looking cannons and no wings. It fits it to the prop to the T.
I can tell an artist from the Matrix films designed those Decepticon ships..
Wow, didn't even notice that! Very good eye! Though that screencap's a bit vague, it's much more obvious in the Apple HD trailer:
In that last pic, look to the right, halfway up the picture, that looks more like the "Ship" Sam and Carly were on. And it looks like it's being shot at too
