It would have been such a great accessory if it FREAKING WORKED.

That Emilio Estevez look-alike wears a cool ripped jacket of LIES.

Yeah I remember trying to play battletoads with that thing and not making it anywhere, oh well it only cost me $10 at a garage sale.

I remember playing MT's Punchout with it, it would have been worth it if it had gloves for each hand.

I know it isn't him, because he would've been like 10 years old at the time, but doesn't that look a lot like Brandon Routh? (the new Superman)

Heh. I remember those, but I never actually saw one in stores. Must not have had very good distribution.

To quote that one kid from The Wizard - "I love the glove, it's sooooo bad"

My favorite memory of the Power Glove is being invited over to this rich kid's house so he could show it to me; he used to flaunt the fact that he was an only child and his parents bought him damn near everything. He plugged in the Power Glove and turned on Duck Hunt (WTF?!) and...nothing happened. He tried two more games and then...had a tantrum because the power glove wouldn't work with them. The parents asked me to leave, frowning at me the whole time.

Because, of course, the fact that the power glove sucked ass was my fault. :peoples:

I knew a kid that had one. I asked if I could try it and he said don’t bother, it doesn’t really work any way. He also had a R.O.B., same deal. [IMG]

I got one for Christmas one year when I was a kid. It was the coolest thing ever until I discovered I got more accurate control from letting my dog chew on the controllers. To be fair, though, there is one game that works well with it: Super Glove Ball. It was specifically made to be used with the Power Glove. It's basically like raquetball meets exploding, but surprisingly fun.

With the Revolution's new controller design focusing on motion, perhaps we'll see a rebirth of the Power Glove?

If that happens, let's hope for better execution this time.

The only good thing about the Power Glove that I remember is When Freddy trapped some kid in a vidio game and killed him using it.

I wrote some short film where this guy loses his hand as a grocery store butcher and replaces it with a "cybernetic hand" that is actually just a power glove. I wish I could've filmed that :(

Anyway, the commercial is hilarious over the top. I love the part where he's playing whatever game that is where you're flying in planes or something.

I remember always wanting the Powerglove, but never getting it because Dad didn't think he'd be able to wear it. So instead we got two of the Arcade style joysticks...
