At this very moment I am in target. Since my last visit they had nothing here but DOTM. Which was extremely dissapointing, now they have Prime stuff here and I am totally excited. As I continued my view of the section, I noticed something relatively different the sizes of the prime figures were small. Bumblebee had to be at least the size of a DOTM Whril stretched out. Did anyone notice this during their encounter with these figures and not think to themselves this prices could have been any lower !!

I personally don't mind if the size of the figure is reduced as long as the quality is high. Generally the Prime toys have had very high quality, so I'm happy. If you can't decide which figure to get, I'd recommend Soundwave or Wheeljack, and avoid Bee and possibly Cliff. :)

The price of oil is a big factor in plastic and they had to cut down. With DotM we got smaller lower quality figures and collectors we're happy despite the fact that the engineering did seem to continue to improve. With Prime I feel they got it right by having the smaller size but maintaining high quality and with the best engineering in deluxe size so far.

Yeah, they're small. Bumblebee is smaller than a used bar of soap.

Smaller or not, I don't care about that as long as I have cool looking and fun characters.

Yeah, especially one used by stereotypical Transformers/Yugioh fans.

It was either raise the price, like Hasbro did with all their other properties, or shrink the figures.

People would complain either way. In all honesty, I'm fine with smaller figures at the same prices.

G.I Joe went up to $9 a figure *and* they are removing articulation and accessories. We're just missing out on some of the size but at least we still get improved articulation and accessories.

I think they are trying to keep the price where it is because it's a sweet spot for both collectors and parents. Move that price too far up and Transformers are less of an impulse buy for a kid.

It's not the size that matters... or so they say.
