When it comes to G1 reissues or updates, I vote for neither. I want updates of the figures I grew up with back in 96. I want reissues of figures that didnt come to America at that time as well.

Well, the Universe line gave us two BW figs, so I guess that falls in the realm of "Classics."

But yeah, once Hasbro isn't releasing Classics-style G1 characters at full-speed like they're doing now, I hope for more room for Beast Wars and other series as well.

    1. You really believe the G1 toys weren't cheaply made?
    2. You think some of them didn't fall apart if you looked at them wrong?
    3. Exactly what in my post was "saying stupid things about what other people think", and isn't your smart-a$$ response what you are accusing me of doing??

Keep in mind son, that I GREW UP with G1, (not that it makes me an expert) but it does entitle me to have an OPINION on what I like better.....

    Clear??

I vote Classics (though in my mind I say CHUG). Why? I like my toys to move, to paraphrase the Cat for a second. I don't fun playing with bricks. Simple.

I voted both, namely because I'd like some of the very late G1's to be put back on some part of the market because some have been making comebacks (I.E. Hardhead got the repaint and Mindwipe got the new mold complete with scout-class combining gimmick), while who wouldn't love a Classics Rotorstorm?

depends on if the G1 figure is $#!+y and warrents a new update and if the reissue is a coveted fig i wanted as a kid and never got a hold of..but im always down for new molds on G1..so keep em coming....and if u cant tell i voted for both...

Had to mix in g1 re-issue Prime, Soundwave, Shockwave, Laserbeak and Rumble with my classics, but I prefer classics.

I have no nostalgia to G1, so while reissues are nice, and make fun novelties, but if I absolutely had to choose, I'd go with the improved, modern versions. Classics please. Ultimately the latter allows room for revamps of other figures from other lines, as well.

I go w/ classics, unless we are gonna get the good stuff ala Sixshot, BW Gigastorm, not the cookie cutter shit we keep getting ala hoist , red alert, predaking etc....

Reissue Fort Max please, if your not gonna do reissues right just make classics.

I appear to be in the minority, but I only collect the reissues and OG G1(i just started collecting again and just completed the commemorative series)...I've thought about getting into the CHUG for the updated G1 styles, but between the OG G1, reissues and the masterpieces, ebay and hasbro get enough of my money...

That said, I wonder if the poll skews based on age - reissues/both for the older folks and Chug/both for the youngins...

Ehh maybe. I am 30 and love both (also what I voted on), although I have purchased more classics than reissues the past few years. I am really excited for Wreck-gar, scourge, and the girlfriend has already be put on notice to have Pirahnacon underneath the Christmas tree this year.

I personally prefer both. I love the modernized versions of the classic TFs but I also think that the only way that I will get certain characters such as the combiners ect is by reissue.

I equally luv my G1 & my Classics-verse so HasTak would get my money either way. What are you waiting for HasTak? You might as well drain my bank accounts now... :lol

Classics. I like the updating, and if I want an original I'd prefer to buy an actual original as opposed to a reissue anyway.

"Son"? If you did indeed "grow up" with G1, then we're more or less the same age. Using "son" doesn't make you sound any more authoritative, scary, clever, or whatever else you're going for. It failed, sorry.

On another note, glad to see more posts from other fans of the original G1 figures!
