I just got a g1 reissue Hot Rod after i put all the stickers on him and transformed him a few times i noticed the stickers on his up legs are peeling at the bottom a little bit everytime i shove the upper part of his legs down into the lower parts of his legs. Is this a common problem with him?

You'd be hard-pressed to find one that didn't have that problem. The stickers are too thick, and wind up getting caught in the leg compression.

I think maybe the Takara Targetmaster reissue from a few years back fixed the problem, either by using thinner stickers, or remolding the legs to have deeper channels for the stickers to slip into, but that's just fuzzy memory speaking.

There were no fixes. This is a problem with all instances of the mold, and there's not much they can even do about it. It's causes by the rubbing of some of the parts that provide friction for the lower leg against the thigh.

There's a mod you can perform on him to reduce this.

I just left these stickers off when I got my reissue Hot Rod.

The only way I can think of to "mod" away this problem would involve carving depressions into Hot Rod's legs.

2nd version original TM Hot Rods had smaller stickers and a indented section to place them

i bought a set of hotrod reprolabel stickers and it fixes the problem, because reprolabels, for those who have never used them, make their stickers thinner.

i did this too, i screwed up the leg (shin area) stickers also but that was just me being stupid. i'll get reprolabels once i can stop getting stuff of shelves, the recent releases. animated and universe are killing my wallet right now.
