There may yet be more reissues, just they are slowing down a bit.

Living in the UK, I gave up with Hasbro products ages ago due to very, very poor distribution, so I've only been collecting Takara stuff. I've reached a point in my collecting where there are only half a dozen things left to get!

I think I'll be importing Titanium and Classics fron US...

Ya know...I like looking at re-issuses at Toys R us, but the lack of articulation kills me (and probably the kids too). I really don't care about re-issuses, I'd MUCH rather have classics...for the next 5 years!!!!!! (hopes hasbro is reading)

I imagine there will still be the occasional reissue, but as a line (i.e. the bookstyle box series), reissues are probably dead.

I didn't buy many of the reissues, just didn't need them. However, there were some good re-issues. Optimus Prime with the Energy AX, Anime Starscream with the Megatron handgun etc.

I think Takara Tomy will find the hentai business will only get them so far. Hopefully it's a short trip. I just hope Hasbro can maintain the fan base at least until TT can get it's act together.

I will always treasure the Binal Techs and Alternators.

i think we all know with this kiss biz, the regular/established fanbase is not their target. theyre trying to pull in new audience and i suppose the group into this sort of stuff seems to demographics theyre chasing after.

i keep trying to imagine what the marketing discussion would be like, but everytime i try, i go back to this visual of a buncha guys in suits laughing their asses of for pulling a fast one on the fans.

wonder if hirofumi-san has commented on this. i mean, dude drew minicons playing with ladies underwear ;)

Yeah I still need...everything else to be reissued.

    Damnit.

Takara/Tomy must not have gotten that memo. I'll make sure they get another copy of it

Agreed - I think we'll see some more reissues, but they'll probably be more like Galvatron than the book style.

You never know, maybe they'll do a conehead boxset or something. I'd expect we'll see more shorter run, one off, expensive items like that.

I still need the rest of the seekers, the remaining 84/85 cars and Blurr, Cyclonus and Scourge before I'll have the a full set of G1 figures I'm after. Most of these have already been re-issued in the old style boxes so I know the molds exist...

Thank God for MP-03. That's the ONLY TF I have to look forward to from Japan right now and I'm gutted.

Classics look cool but are not really for me (well, maybe I'll get Jetfire).

    Steve.

Yeah, I'd say that the bookbox style of reissues may or may not be finished, but it is disconcerning that they haven't announced anything new with the old lines since the merger with Tomy... just MP-03 & 04 and this junk Kissy Kiss crap... yeah, great Takara-Tomy...

However, I figure we'll probably see more stuff like Star Convoy, Galvatron and Battle Convoy/Laser Prime reissues with ehobby counterparts. Other than that... the line may just be dead. Or not... it's hard to tell since Takara doesn't really keep in touch with us like Hasbro does. They just kind of stop what they're doing and never mention anything about it... even if you do enquire.
