Not buying Activators Dirge the one and only time I ever saw him in stores. Part of me kind of regrets not hunting down the eHobby version of Astrotrain when I decided to pick up a reissue of him.
It's not that I don't like them, it's that when I bought them I didn't know they were getting HA toys, which I know I'm getting.
TFTM Voyager Megatron. Easy to transform and then his "claw" feet made him annoying to stand. Also that weird clear....air? on his back.
ROTF Whe- NO! Cybertron Backstop, Oh, God, I wake up in the night screaming about the toy. Then I took him out with some fireworks and now I can sleep just fine
Buying the Blackout/Scorponok 2 pack. Blackout was broken IN the box (one of the tabs that pegs his arm panel to his body was snapped.).
Movie 1 Cliffjumper, because that mold seemed so scarce back then. Little did I know that Premium BB would be around the corner... I also regret not buying Classics 1.0 stuff while it was still out at the beginning of the movie toys coming in (I had just started collecting). I'm a fool...
I regret a lot of stuff from the first movie line. Real Gears, repaints, non movie characters, I have no idea where the hell my mind was. Somehow I bought 2 Regular Bumblebees, Cliffjumper, Stealth Bumblebee, Premium Bumblebee, Allspark Bumblebee and I got one from one of the Screen battles box sets (THEY ARE ALL THE SAME MOLD). Go figure I sold them all and bought the Preview one from ROTF.
Most of my "regrets" I've since sold. Once my collection is in one place again, I'll be sorting back through things to see if I have any more "regrets". Most of mine come from the Unicron triology, but that's simply because they aren't my cup of tea.
just about every movie figure i own, and i am not looking forward to picking up my big ROTF laybuy cos i suspect i will not like them much either.
Movie 1 Swindle, Camshaft, Payload, Thundercracker, SWTF Clone Commander, ROTF Superion, Rampage, Sideways
I regret my first TFA toy was Lockdown. He's okay, but not awesome. Took me a while until I picked up the next one (Prowl), and he made me want to watch the cartoon even.
I regret not buying all the G1 mail-aways when I was a kid. I still have a bag full of unredeemed robot points.
