    Winner = Skywarp

That's because he can teleport... the sneaky devil. Thrust... well, he's just not that sneaky.

Thrust lived after the fight on Earth back in the '86 movie. Skywarp was out the door yo, at least til Unicron came along. Call it luck or whatever you want but I'll stay faithful to the underdog on this one. Thrust gets one more piddly ass vote.

Technically Thrust died in the fight with Unicron. So did Dirge and Ramjet.

Their presences in season 3 is one huge continuity error.

Well, this by far is the biggest rout yet!!!

Anyone else curious as to who the final 14 bots are that will fill out the bracket??

Remember, they must have either appeared in season 1, 2, or the movie!

So, let me get this straight: 30% of you thought Laserbeak had a legitimate chance on average of beating Devastator, but you'll all be damned if Thrust has any shot against Skywarp with his intelligence of 4?

I'm sorry when I implied before that these were popularity contests. Clearly you're voting by color schemes now.

I've conceded already that this is a close bout, and could turn one way or the other on mere chance. But seeing as how the two combatants are so well matched, the advantage of teleportation is just too much to ignore for most of us...

However, I think you might be making too much of Skywarp's low Intellgence (it looks like 5 to me btw). Skywarp isn't bright, but he's an effective soldier, and what he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in guile ("sneakiest of Decepticons" to quote his profile) and ability (note his high Skill rating).

Add to this that Thrust has no concept of subtlety or tact. He's a guy who blusters onto the battlefield trying to draw as much attention to himself as possible... not the type to best exploit an enemy's intelligence. I just see this as a clash of personalities and abilities that would generally tend to favour Skywarp.

I quite like Thrust's colours actually. Mmmm... maroon.... :)

A 5 is by no margin intelligent. And Skywarp may have to teleport pretty far to catch Thrust, and that might end poorly. Not to mention Megatron won't be there to hold Skywarp's hand, I don't think he's gonna do to well.

However Thrust is by no means courageous, and if Skywarp manages to get behind him, then Skywarp would have the upperhand.

I'm gonna give this one to Thrust, he may be able to trick Skywarp in to teleporting too far and make him hurt himself. That would be the advantage Thrust would need to get the upperhand.

As much as I like Skywarp,my vote's for Thrust

Well, on a scale of 1-10, 5 would be about average, wouldn't it? I don't think he needs Megatron to tell him how to fight... though I wouldn't see him taking on any extra initiative. Also, Skywarp's no genius, but he's not Sludge, and his basic cunning is not impeded by his low intellect ("sneakiest"!).

But you do raise an interesting point... Thrust is VERY FAST. Not necessarily agile, but very fast. I tended to negate that with the teleportation, but it could still be a factor.

Wow... I couldn't possibly imagine how Skywarp could manage that. ;)

Against a character known for his cleverness (Starscream, Jazz, etc) I would consider Skywarp's dullness a disadvantage. However Thrust just doesn't strike me as the kind of warrior to bother trying to out-think anyone. He's not dumb, but he doesn't seem like the strategic or tricky type. He moves in bold, aggressive lines, and his profile makes special mention of the fact that he has no concept of subtlety or stealth. Maybe another adversary would be able to outwit Skywarp, but it's just really not Thrust's style.
