I'm trying to find some infor regarding the cover splits for issue #81.

I know that Meg's is on cover A, and Guido Guido is doing the retro cover B, which is the one i'm looking for.

Does anybody know if it's an even split between A & B?

Also, will the 'retro' style B covers continue for the 20 issue run?

I can't seem to find any information :dunce

Yes, as is the standard with IDW, it's an even split between covers A and B. Retailers order the comic using one code, and the distributor (notionally) ships an equal number of copies of each cover. We've seen at least one more retro Guido cover, for the next issue, so I'm hoping that he's going to keep doing them for the full run, because they're the ones I want too. :)

He's posted his retro cover for #83 on his deviantart page here.

Definitely hope he continues for the rest of the series!

Were there more than two cover variations released?

I picked up two copies of issue 81 today at my local store. I got cover A and cover B, which are these:

I'm going for the retro covers too...well, maybe I'll decide case by case, but to me cover 1 was the winner this week.

That #83 cover is interesting, if it reflects issue contents. Kup still a big presence (and having a bad day). Astrotrain of all people is drawn like he's a major force in the story, and then a certain fellow seems rather anomalously alive in the background.

I like the retro cover, but went with cover A.
If we are going "retro" with Furman and Wildman, which is the point of the series, I'm getting as much from them as possible.

Love all the great art work though.

My local store was out, but I found that Geoff Senior cover for a good price on Ebay. Now I have all 3 of the cover posted above... I'm not sure if I can keep that up for the rest of the run though. It will start to get expensive.

what did you have to pay on ebay? I've never really been in to the retailer incentives but my guy gave me this one for $10. just wondering if that's a decent price?

I got it on ebay for $10. My local shop said they were selling it for $9 before they ran out. So I don't think you paid too much.
