just a question, for the reflector did you use the k.o oversized with wonkey colors and did you modify it besides the paint? also when TC is holding reflector is it the oversized one?

Yes it's the colourful oversize KO, heavily modded (see first post for a link to the WIP thread). The TC photo is just a bit of Photoshop tomfoolery ;)

Did you have any trouble painting that softer kind of plastic used in the KO?

Thanks again everyone :thumb  These guys are still on my shelf in pride of place, while my poor old Soundwave has been made redundant now of course :D
It's not ideal, but it mostly went ok. I had the most trouble with the three colours of the chest, masking tape just pulls paint and primer right off in chunks so best to avoid that. I ended up making cardboard stencils to cover the green up while I sprayed the violet.

    RE: Reflector Custom...

This is excellent work, and the transformation process is very ingenius, how long did this project take you overall?

Thanks man :)  I can't recall exactly, a lot of it was on and off between other things, but I think it was about three months or so total. Owes a lot to the PE originals of course.

    Nice!

I LOVE how all the extraneous bits tuck away in robot mode. I wish the KFC or FT versions did that.

Thanks, yeah that was one of my favourite things about this, getting the extra parts to tuck away :)
    Cheers!

Anyway I think the upcoming KFC figure is gonna be my Masterpiece Reflector, then this one can be retired like my old MP Sideswipe, Soundwave and Brawn customs :)

If I'd known what wonders 3rd party had in store I probably would never have done kitbashing at all! :lol
