    all of the concept art that i got had the robot officially marked as 'reedman'

    Exactly. I don't think that he/she/it even has an official name.

    While we're on the subject of Reedman, I remember hearing about someone saying that Reedman is Laserbeak. I don't know if anyone's noticed, but doesn't Reedman's crest look like some kind of bird? I'm too lazy to post a pic at the moment.

    Since he looks like jagged pieces of metal, Shrapnel would be a more appropriate name.

    There's a test animation showing Reedman disassemble himself, get sucked back into Ravage's mouth, and The Doctor poking out of Ravage's chest to grab the shard lying on the ground.

    It was a working name, like Skipjack or Wheelbot, though those two got renamed Rampage and Demolishor (although the credits didn't catch on, it seems).
