So I've been doing some thinking recently. Some of the most fun I've ever had artistically was making some designs for something which eventually gave way to a text story about robots who's lives never go according to plan. However, the aesthetic I originally did them in was a sort of traditional look mixed with movie/Prime complexity and liberties. An aesthetic I've since grown tired of. I'm always seeking to improve, and one night I came up with a transformation scheme. An actual transformation scheme. Now i've resolved to redesign all the major players to actually operate in the real world, and with a bit of artistic flare borrowed from your usual giant robot styles and some animation-style lines, I present the new and (IMO) very much improved Optimus in all his immature yet convicted and noble-hearted glory. I plan to do the other characters within the coming weeks, starting with the psuedo-sophisticated galactic ruler-in-training Megatron.
