So I was at the Cerritos walmart in California with my girlfriend and we decided to rent a movie from the redbox kiosk. While we were scrolling through the movies we got to the page that had the movie The Haunting and then I noticed a mouse cursor on the screen. At this point the kiosk became unresponsive and the movie The Haunting popped up as if I had selected it. I thought it was funny but my girl scares easy. After about 20 seconds it let me resume browsing.

So I'm curious, has anybody experienced this at another redbox? I thought someone hacked the machine to play this prank but at this point I didn't feel comfortable swiping my credit card. Or were the redbox people simply having some fun?

Hav'nt noticced anything wierd yet, maybe it was just a software burp. Those machines are'nt perfect.

I just wish they would give/take your movies a little faster.

Slide dvd in and wait 5 minutes. "Your dvd has been returned successfully" , then the next one...
Takes awhile when there's a line of people behind you.

You should see what happens when you hover over Deliverance.
