It does look pretty good. Several good movies seem to be coming out soon.

Just saw an interview with George Lucas on the Daily Show about this movie last night; seems good

Can't wait for this film. :)

I keep hearing friends and people at work saying that George Lucas directed this, is it being promoted that way? He's just one of the producers as far as I know.

Regardless, it looks great. Can't wait to see all those old planes dogfighting on the big screen.

From the interview, I understood that he wrote and produced it

This has been his pet project for quite awhile, if I understand correctly. Star Wars just always took priority over at Lucasfilm.

it does look good and carries an important message which makes me question why they chose to release it in January as opposed to December so it can compete for Oscars
they could compete for next years oscars but usually movies released in January are long since forgotten

I think it looks like a great movie. I think this has just been added to my top ten most anticipated movies of 2012 just because Lucasfilm is doing it.

I'm pretty interested in this movie. From what we've seen, it looks great. And I love WW2 Fighter planes/dogfights, so that adds to its appeal for me.

I've been intrigued by the film's concept since Lucas hinted about it in interviews over the last 10-20 years.

Btw, for those wondering, no, he did not direct it. He's acting as a Producer on it, and it's under the Lucasfilm production logo. I believe this is the first time since Radioland Murders that a non-Star Wars production had that logo attached.

I have a feeling this one won't.....but January 16th is Martin Luther King Jr Day....and having it released on the 20th...coincidence? Maybe :)  But that's just me thinking.

Aside from this, Tuskegee Airmen (With Laurence Fishburn) was the first movie I'd ever seen about the Tuskegee Airmen. I still remember it :)

Incorrect. First Lucasfilm's film not associated with Star Wars and Indiana Jones since 1994 and Radioland Murders.

On topic, definately seeing this one in theatre's. It's good to see Lucasfilm's away from Star wars and Indiana Jones for a while.

As a history buff and all the societary changes brought on by WWII this movie looks like a nice addition to the saga that was WWII. The story of the Tuskegee Airmen hasn't been told in such a high profile manner that I'm aware of. I've seen a History channel or PBS documentary sure but a full commercialization by a big name in the business, no I've not seen that on this topic before. Not sure it's happened.

I don't know that I'll get to it opening weekend or not but am curious to check it out at some point.

Wow. It's been a long time since I've seen anything that has made me as proud to be an American Airman as that trailer has.
