Red Sonja? Cheesecake only?

    Does anyone here read Red Sonja? From the covers and pics this title just looks to be cheesecake and no real substance.....

    I read it, based on the fact she lives in Conans world and era...

    And was sorely dissapointed. Art is trying to be very Cary Nordish, but fails. (Another problem here is Cary Nords own work has been sliding a lot lately, and its only the last couple of months its been getting better again)

    The writing is trying to be very Kurt Busiek/Hyborea, (when the series started Busiek was still scribe) but it fails... and the stories are meh.

    So yeah, riding the wave of Conan's popularity. I'd say pass.
