Buried treasures that you can ride around and locate via treasure maps.

I'm tempted to grab this as most of my MAG clan will be playing the free roam multiplayer...but I really don't care about Rockstar games or the old west. It does look kind of fun though.

I was talking more about riding around and shooting 200 pigeons like in GTAIV ti get an achievement. Looks like that is not in this game (Thank god!). I hate crap like that.

It looks awesome, I just hope it doesn't suffer from the same problem as GTA IV, where IMO, the missions got VERY boring after a while.

Sorry, off topic, but isn't "IMO" implied whenever you make a statement? I've always wondered why people at that and "IMHO" to messages.

Because on the internet, people tend to assume that statements are made as fact and lash out at folks for doing so, thus the IMO was established as a metaphoric shield against people feeling that you are stating a fact that's really an opinion.

So no one knows if the multiplayer allows for creation of rooms with password protection?

    Got it pre-ordered.
I will be trying to resist riding around for the sake of it and do the actual story.

But the online posse looks sweet.

Just read the review and then pre-ordered it on Amazon (still with a $20 credit toward future purchase). This looks great and the co-op multiplayer is going to be very fun.

Are most here getting it for the 360 or PS3?

Holy crap. This was really fun. We dove into multiplayer almost immediately, and everything I was hoping was there. You can start a private 16 player room. Everyone can roam the entire world together. Within that world, you can find gang hideouts, get into skirmishes with other players, or join coop instance based missions. It was fun causing chaos in Blackwater. One of my friends logged into the game for the first time, to find himself in the middle of a crossfire between us and the federales, lol. He had no idea WTF was going on.

Anyone with Open-world mechanics needs to have a little chat with Rockstar. I want the next Elder's Scroll and Fallout to be like this. Strong single player (that doesn't skimp because of the multiplayer element) and a Multiplayer that lets you explore the whole world.

Not an MMOR (too much drama and need for leveling and grinding). Simply a contained 8-16 player free roaming. Just like this baby.
