Based on that evil smiley, it seems as though we have done something very wrong.

You might want to check out your state’s laws (assuming you’re American) on recording phone calls. Here in California for example you can not record unless both parties agree to be recorded before hand.

Well depending who he’s planning to record and why he might have to care.

no i don't care, and i live in Canada, though i don't know the laws about this... oh well. The reason is I'm getting the run around from a large faceless corparation after
getting quoted $244.99 for a new alternator for my truck, when i got my bill i was charged 294.99 for the alt and what was going to be about 45 minutes of labour was charged as 120 minutes of labour. I first talked to the auto manager he tried to tell me that the quoted price was minus the $45 casting refund ( 294.99 - 45 does not equal 244.99 which is the price i saw with my own two eyes on there own computer) I told him his math is wrong and to show me on the computer, I got nothing and apparently the store manager was not in today. I then went out to the two other stores of the same chain to get quotes and at both store i got an even lower quote, my uncle also check it out and was quote at 244.99 for the part. So i called head office and again i get people who can't do math telling me that 294.99 minus 45 is 244.99, so i asked to talk to a manager, and he gave me an even worst run around telling me that my truck needed the more expensive alternator because they didn't know it 2 wheel drive( which is a lie cause they ask every spec of your vehicle even colour when all you want is an air filter) so asked the manger if it is store policy to quote the cheapest part and install the most expensive, i got no answer. Now my only recourse is contact the ministry of government services, so i'm hoping i can at least get them on the record giving the costumer the run around and just let it loose on the internet thats all

Still you might want to check out the laws because you might not be able to submit the recording as any sort of evidence. I’m just trying to help out so you don’t waist any time.

You could probably record Skype if you called them from that. I imagine it would be higher quality then one of those little suction cap things you stick on a phone. I've actually got one of those but never had to use it yet...
