Or... Getting RID of redundant Energon.

Howdy All! I've done a little experimentation between Energon, and Universe RID Devastator. Yes, I know there are two hook trucks, but at least they are different molds. Also, one could be considered a grappling truck with its energon piece.

    Nice :thumb

So how did you get it all to stay connected or is it just well balanced?

I guess you could say that it is well balanced, BUT it wouldn't take much effort to kitbash proper connections. I'll post some additional pics on how I did it.

Okay. First you take Steamhammer, rotate his upper body, and then separate his upper section.

Next you connect Hightower, and Long Haul like so.

Next you place the "point" of the connector into opened personel canopy of Steamhammer.

After that, just take Bonecrusher as he is normally transformed, and place him on Steamhammer's waist. You may have to adjust him somewhat. Granted this Devastator is a bit top-heavy. It really wouldn't take much effort to kitbash proper connectors. As he is, you definately couldn't "play" with him like this, but he displays well.
