What are some must have xbox 360 accessories? I just ordered a live starter kit and a Nyko Inercooler TS so I can play xbox games, download demos and keep my system cool.

What are some other good items to get?

Right now I'm heavily leaning towards the Xbox Live Gold Chatpack and the Pelcian Energizer Station.

I know one accessory you shouldn't have bought.
The Nyko Inercooler TS is a waste of money, in fact any coller unit is a waste of money as they block the vents.

Just keep your Xbox in a well ventelated space and save some money.

I've read nothing but good thing on the Intercooler TS, the EX and the previous models were the ones that ran using the 360's power supply and melted a lot. I live in Florida and my room is small, so the system is gonna run hot no matter where it is. I keep it standing up and it's out in the open instead of some enclosed area, this is just for added protection.

Get this and forget that Pelican crap: Gamestop.com - Buy Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit - Xbox 360

Works great, and you'll never have to buy batteries again. And that savings will end up paying for it. It's just a rechargable battery back and a cable with a plug in for the battery pack on one end, and a USB connector on the other that you plug into the 360 to charge it. You can also plug it into your PC and charge it that way too. Pack runs out while you're playing a game? No problem, just plug the cable in and keep playing while it charges.

I've had mine for over 2 years now and no problems whatsoever.

Your ideas were good, I thank you for them. The Live Starter Pack comes with a headset but I definitely need some points, I see quite a few things I wanna DL.

I pretty much second Galaxy Convoy on the play and charge. Then you just need a gold subscription. Try to to go third party with anything if you get other stuff.

I've never had that problem with mine. Gets slightly warm, that's about it. And it's only taken about an hour at most to charge it, though I usually plug it in when the controller starts flashing that low power warning.

Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Energizer Power & Play Charging System: Video Games

I use that to charge my controllers, you'll need the 360 battery packs for it to work. Mainly because I thought it looked awsome but also because I have a couple of wonky batteries.

Two of the four I own hardly display the correct charge amount on the guide menu and it does the spinning lights gimmick when they're half charged. One will only charge when the 360 is on, as soon as I power it down it lights up green that it is fully charged. The other two I have are fine.

thats what I do too. but it still takes like 3 hours if not more to charge fully and gets really hot if the system is being played at the time of charging. it doesnt get hot enough to burn but it gets pretty damn hot

and yea its authentic Microsoft. figured id say that before someone asks

Some sort of controller charge kit would be good, I got the one with the cable when I bought a new controller for my unit.
