Simple version is i'm after some quality TV shows to watch, especially those released on DVD.

So far i've watched all of:
    The Shield
    Scrubs
    Battlestar Galactica
    Prison Break
    The Wire

And was wondering if any one had any recommendations on what else to watch? I've tried Supernatural but only found it to be repetitive and annoying but i'm open to anything else that's genuinely considered must see.

    Thanks.

Hmmmmm. I should have mentioned lost and 24 are not my thing either.

I think i'm gonna have to just blindly pick a DVD like a did with The Wire and just go with it.

Mad Men is awesome, if you are able to get into an adult drama set in the advertising world of 1960.

True Blood is everything Twilight wished it were.

    Is Burn Notice new??

Hey Recall, give Life on Mars a couple of episodes. You may or may not like it, but it's a pretty cool and funny show. And for old goodness, Firefly will never let you down.

It's in it's third season, but it's on USA so it's easy to miss. It's got everything that made shows like McGuyver and the A-Team great while being far more modern and down to earth to the point where it looks like you could actually do (and to be fair you probably could) the things the main character pulls off.
