Narrow it down to one, just one toy from wave one. Which is the one you'd recommend to someone else? Which is the best figure, transformation, alt mode, most fun, most true to character, best value?

(for simplicity's sake, no Titan Masters, no exclusives (sorry Brainstorm))

    Stripes.

    :p

Nah, seriously it's gotta be Blurr. Best Deluxe of the line I have so far. I would also suggest Wheelie, but he doesn't have a Titan Master head feature/gimmick so while he's AWESOME he may not be the best indicator sampler of the line to be introduced to.

I know right! It's the butt wings, isn't it? I was looking at Masterpiece Optimus Prime the other day, and couldn't help thinking "Wow, he'd be so much better with butt wings!"

It'd be Deluxe Hardhead for me. After few years of not being that impressed by Has/Tak deluxes this was a damn good return to form

(Even though you can't vote for it, Brainstorm is the best of wave 1 though)

Hardhead is very impressive for sure.

A 2nd would be Sentinel Prime.

Anything except the leaders and Galvatron will please you.

gone for Blurr myself - it's a fab mould, just missing a bit of paint detailing.. although it is a close call between him and Hardhead

am looking forward to picking up more at TFN - sentinel and blaster especially..

I think blurr would win going away if it weren't for so many people going takara. I voted blurr anyway. The best deluxe design I've seen since..... transformers prime?

I was excited for galvatron more than any other- and it looks decent enough - but its litany of issues make it too much of a sloppy mess to me. I know I'm not alone in that because I've seen a number of opinions that state Sentinel Prime is the superior voyager.

Although it might not have been the best choice for the "titan master" treatment, Blurr is (in my opinion) an almost perfect update to the G1 toy. Heck, it more or less is the G1 toy just with better articulation.

All of the deluxe molds are pretty good. Skullsmasher has floppy hips that need tightening, but he's good. Scourge and Blurr are also nice, but the decos are pretty sparse.

Hardhead's the best straight out of the box. Can't speak for the voyagers or leaders. Legends Wheelie is also pretty good. Rewind is average.

I wanted to try out TR so I picked up a Scourge and Terri-bull or whatever his name is.

For the most part, I like them both. Scourge's head is floppyish on the robot body, but stays in place. My biggest complaint is his hands, in that both of the wrists are ridiculously loose. I also think Terribull's jet mode isn't all that intuitive, but as a head guy thing, he works with Scourge's body much better and the blue is a decent enough match.

I was pretty surprised at how light Scourge was when I got him. The plastic feels cheaper than Combiner Wars, but doesn't really seem prone to breaking or anything, at least so far.

And while I like them both, it's definitely helped me reach a conclusion that it's not a line I want to collect and will probably pass this on to my son if he wants it.

    Just my two.

Well this is why I wanted people to be brutal and narrow it down to just one. I love Galvatron, but that mask is awful. I love Skullsmasher, but the QC is poor. I love Wheelie, but he doesn't clip together quite perfectly. I love Rewind, but his alt mode's not great. I love Scourge, but he turns into a bar of soap.

While a bit drab in the paint department, Blurr is almost a perfect Transformer. Sentinel Prime and Hardhead tie for a close second.

Honestly it would have to come down to either Blurr or Skullsmasher (cruncher),those two just stand out the most next to everyone else.

But truth-be-told Skullcruncher is extremely loose in the thigh area, where the socket attaches to the waist ain't so bad but the problem is where the mushroom peg attaches to the slots on his upper legs are super loose.I would recommend using something to tighten those up.

Blurr on the other hand is just about perfect, all joints seem to be fine,as for his head sure his head flops a little but that's to be expected. If I had to choose only one I would go with Skullcruncher since I never could stand Blurr's G1 Character,he never SHUT UP,so I would say Skullcruncher and with a little work he is worth picking up.

Definitely Blurr. If price is a consideration, then by size class I'd say:

    Leader: Blaster
    Voyager: Sentinel
    Deluxe: Blurr
    Legend: Wheelie
    Titan Master: Crashbash

And personal opinion, Blurr is the best of the lot.

It's amazing how good TR is. I could vote for Wheelie, Blurr, Hardhead, Blaster, or PM OP and the rest are still great. I think this may be my favorite line.
