    Hello!
Let me begin with, I suck at video games. I'm an old man, and games that I like, I like a lot, but most I'm pretty useless at. For some reason I can't really progress with most video games.

I have an old x-box and I like RPG "button masher" games.
I like Fables, the lost chapters. I like X-men Legends.

What other games out there would you recommend based on this preference.

    Thanks!

If you had a PS2 I would recommend God of War...

Did they release marvel ultimate alliance for the xbox?

Ninja Gaiden Black and Legacy of Kain Defiance for some nice story action, Rallisport Challenge 2 and Forza for driving, Halo 1/2 and Chronicles of Riddick for first person fun, Shenmue II is probably something that might interest you since you're a fan of fable.

If you're not very good at games, then I would steer clear of Ninja Gaiden. Not that its not a fantastic game, but it IS ROCK HARD for most. (ie, those without a decent background in fighting games)

I would recommend Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, its old but its pretty much one of the best RPG's on the good old Xbox, and the (turn based) combat and pace of the game could suit you. I played this game through 4 times already, and I'm itching to do it again on my 360.

Did they ever release the Gauntlet Legends series on Xbox? That seems like a likely candidate.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic gets my highest recommendation as well.

But it would help to know what gaming systems you have.

    PS2? Xbox? Gamecube?
    Next-gen consoles?
    PC? (If so, how powerful?)

He stated that he has an old xbox.

If you like X-Men Legends, aside from a lot of the other marvel mentions above, you might want to try out the Baldurs gate games. I havn't palyed them myself, (I've played a game using the same system though) and it's a lot like the LEgends games, so you might enjoy them. I had a friend tell me they were great, but never got around to playing them myself.

    Hey!
    Thank you for the recommendations!

I have an old X-box that I'd used mostly as a DVD player. The games I had, I never got into. With the 360 out, the old x-box games are dirt cheap now, so I've been pickin' them up. As mentioned the Fables type games I really liked, but I got some first person shooters, GTA, the Spawn game... and they aren't my cup of tea.

With your recommendations at least I know what to look for!

    Short list:
Star Warts: Knights of the old republic,
    God of Warts,
    X-Men Legends Deuh,
    Marvel Ultimatum Alliance,
    Leg-ah-See of Kain Defiance,
    Barnacles of Riddick.

I'll look for these so something like them.

    Thank you all!

I'll recommend the first Lego Star Wars game. Since you said you're an old man I'll go out on a limb and also recommend Leisure Suit Larry. It's a funny to have a few drinks to.

If you like RPG's, the two KOTORs and Jade Empire could do you well.

XMen Legends II should work for you, and the movie based LOTR Two Towers and Return of the King are much like those old fashioned button mashers.

I also enjoyed the hell out of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. It can be challenging to complete 100%, but its also fun as a pick up and play type game.

Beyond Good and Evil and Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy were fun Zelda-type adventure games. I don't recall either having a steep learning curve.
