I have this covered litter box that you roll over to clean. It puts all the unclumped litter through a filter, and all the poop and pee clumps rolls over into a scoop. It's pretty awesome. The only problem is that the litter I'm using (feline fresh) is really sticky, so when a roll it over, must of the pee clumps stay stuck to the litter box, and I am forced to reach in with a scoop anyway.

Does anyone know of some epic litter that won't stick so much?

I use the Arm and Hammer clumping sand. Not sure how well it would work with the self-cleaning boxes, but it doesn't get that sticky. Plus, it has baking soda laced in it, so there's absolutely no smell.

With the Littermaid its trial and error and you want the stuff that clumps tight. We use Tidy Cats clumping here at our house. But doing a quick search I've come up with Fresh Step, Precious Cat, Littermaid Litter, and Fresh and Clean.

We use Arm & Hammer Double Duty. Kills both smells, meaning #1 & #2.

I've sworn by Feline Pine for many years. In my experience clumping litters turn into cement on the bottom of the box, but Feline Pine just becomes sawdust, and the pine smell eliminates the other smells.

BTW, do you realize that turning over that box makes the cat surrounded and roofed over by his own piss and shit and litter dust unless you clean the top side every time, as opposed to a normal covered box where its limited to the bottom box? Your cat may not like that after a while.

My wife swears by the "World's Best Cat Litter", you can get it at most supermarkets.
