So what online publications do you read every day/week that you think people should be aware of?

I'll suggest "Real Life Comics" by Greg Dean, a semi-daily piece on the modern geek life.

Girl Genius, XKCD, and User Friendly are my most-read. The archives on inktank.com also have some good stuff; all three of the creator's strips are retired and finite reads.

Hetalia is a webcomic? News to me...

I don't read any. But on a couple of other forums I've heard something called "Homestuck" thrown around...

    Something*Positive and Other Comics

I've been reading this for years - it celebrated its tenth birthday just last month. I tend to go long periods without reading, then completely lose myself in it for an evening.

    What I'm reading regularly:

    - Blip - Good mix of humor and drama and the creator does well adjusting the art style to fit the mood of a strip or storyline. Suffers from frequent schedule slip, although seems to be back on track.
    - Spinnerette - Comedic superhero strip with a good storyline, interesting characters and better art than some mainstream, Big Two comics.
    - Something*Positive - Drifts into 'illustrated blog' territory sometimes, but rarely gets preachy or too packed with strawmen. Following the strip for a long period of time, the growth and development of the characters is incredible and the art style has matured a lot over the years. Does suffer sometimes from having too many ongoing storylines, shifting between storylines at odd times and introducing stuff that doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the plotlines (ie - a new character, and her supporting cast, showed up several months ago and have yet to tie into the main characters).
    - Bear Nuts - A sort of dark version of Care Bears, with some hilarious situations. Just started reading this one recently.
    - Oglaf (NSFW) - Sex humor with a medieval theme. Mostly one-off strips or short storylines, although it had an ongoing plot that would come up on occasion.
    - Curvy (NSFW) - Dimension-hopping sci-fi comic with a fair amount of adult content. Hasn't been very interesting since they left Corporate World, so I might drop it for awhile.

While I don't read it regularly anymore, I also check in on Misfile every so often to see if the overarching plot has gone anywhere, or if it's just stuck in another never-ending racing storyline.

The only webcomic that I've gone out of my way to read is The Perry Bible Fellowship.

While exploring the net I found a reference to a webcomic called "Manly Guys doing Manly Things". It's hilarious and anybody who plays a lot of videogames will appreciate all the jokes, as guys like Kratos and that one guy from Dragon Age make common appearances.

One of my fav's is Questionable Content. It's been a bit lackluster of late but is usually pretty good and has been going for many years now. Start from the beginning and you'll get to know all the characters. Mind you the artwork was not exactly top tier back then but has since improved dramatically. If you read the entire run, you'll notice the gradual improvements.

Shortpacked! is one I've been reading for a number of years and Dumbing of Age has been entertaining as well.

Spinnerette is a good one. Oglaf is also pretty good but definitly NSFW and only updates once a week.

Between Failures is one I started getting into a little while back and have found to be pretty good overall as well. The same can be said about Nerf This!
