I need some more figures, but I am not sure which to get. So I am relying on you guys to give me suggestions on what figures, easily available, that I should buy.

What figures do you have? What aesthetic do you like? Since I don't know these things I'll toss some that I like from each line:

TF: Prime Arcee = Maybe a bit tougher to find than some others but an awesome figure.

DotM Ratchet = Either colo9r scheme, he's a sweet figure, that is great in both modes.

Generations ZWarpath = You cannot go wrong with this figure, he is the perfect retro styled Transformer.

I have the first 3 prime figures, generations warpath, cyberfire bumblebee and I do not really care about what aesthetic the figure is sporting.

Here's an idea. Go to your neighborhood store, whatever it may be. Since you have no preference in style, I suggest browsing until something catches your eye. No sense being a sheep and letting other people decide what YOU want in the first place...unless, of course, you're one of those whose collection isn't for personal satisfaction, but more for the attention of others.

Or....are you guaging interest in the figures that the collector community enjoys as a whole just to sell them down the road on fleabay or something like that?

Either way.....just go and look yourself. Don't be told what you should get.

...but you don't have to take my word for it.

You sound like you just enjoy transformations, as do I.

I can recommend Gen. Wheeljack, Thundercracker.

Pick any of the Human Alliance basics, they are all winners to me.

Welcome to the lull. January is always such a shitty time for TF buying. >.<

Nonetheless, Black Shadow is a better use of the Thunderwing mold. And if you feel like tracking it down, the deluxe Prime Megatron and Optimus 2pack.

I hate responses like this. If someone is looking for suggestions, they're looking for suggestions because it's what they feel like. Maybe someone will mention a toy that they hadn't really taken a look at before, and the suggestion will prompt them to and, hey, maybe they'll find something they like.

There's nothing in here saying that he wants to know what he should buy, just what other people might buy in his position. This talk of 'letting others decide for you' is hogwash, because in the end, the consumer makes the final call.

He's not a 'sheep' just for asking.

If you like the "Classics" style, hit up ROSS or TJ Maxx/Marshalls and see if you can find a RtS Jazz, Tracks, Bumblebee, Wreck Gar (or his retool cousin Junkheap, but research the breakage problem on the Wreck-Gar mold first). You might even be lucky enough to stumble onto Lugnut and Grapple from the Voyager scale. I think Jazz and Tracks will pick up some value in a few years.

I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly! Telling someone who is asking for the opinions on figures prior to buying blindly is never a bad thing! If the open was trying to decide which universe figure to buy (as a way to narrow things down a bit), would you still say get what you want or be helpful buy stating the flaws of galvatron, or the sheer genius of some of the other figures Hasbro has put out.
In other words if you don't have an answer don't answer.

I'd say RTS Jazz and Generations Wheeljack if you can find them :)
