    Hehehe, that's kinda' cute. :D

Pathfinder's old UFO alt kind of reminds me of the Cyclon ships from the original Battlestar Galactica. The Batwing is nicer than both of them though. :)

    *nightly update*

    Crane Brain

Anyway, no idea who this clown is. Just saw him on the list. Oh, a crane. That's fun. Horrible name. Doesn't he know all construction vehicles are supposed to be painted Constructicon Green? But let's see if we can't find a nice new crane to help him out.

    *looks for some cranes*

I kind of like this. Yeah, it's a 4 wheeled crain as opposed to the original 6 wheel set-up that Craney has, but I like it. Looks nice and beefy like it could go off-roading just as well as work on-site in the city. Just paint it yellow and we're golden. What do you think?

In regards to the Gobot character: I'm not sure if the name or color scheme is the problem...it's just that crane is not in the right place...really...I mean common.

Cheers mate. You've just discovered the design for Classics Erector :bay

It has potential. I'd be curious to see how they're going to fit all the robot bits inside a lean vehicle body.

The one who needs the biggest overhaul is obviously, Scooter.

if he's ever updated he needs to be voiced by none other than LIL'JON or Dave chapelle as Lil'Jon

His new and improved alt. mode can be the VECTRIX ELECTRIC SCOOTER

I'm doing this same thread on a few different boards, and someone suggested this for Scooter:

Hey look, it's Frank Welker's (even lamer than Wheelie) character!

I prefer the Vectrix Electric Scooter, mainly because it's more in line as a Classics-style update to '80s Scooter.

Maybe that car can be given to someone else? Like an update to Baron Von Joy or Zeemon?

    Let's do Cy-kill!

Ah, Cy-kill. What's there to say, really? He has a tendency to get owned by Leader-1 every day and killed by Megatron every other day. Even as a kid I never viewed him as a credible threat, leaving that honor to Crasher. As leader of the Renegades, a motorcycle alt-mode just doesn't seem... bad enough. We're used to our evil robot leaders being guns and tanks and crazy spaceships with buttloads of guns. Meanwhile Cy-kill's a bike. Ohhh, what to do? Do we make him a chopper? A super bike? Something else entirely? I don't even know.

I think this might be kind of cool... sort of like General Grievous' uni-wheel thingy.

But it looks even more lean than a motorcycle! I mean, sure, you could probably find a way to transform it into a robot (they made a stop light into a pretty cool bot), but I don't know. If he were a uniwheel, it'd have to be a heavily modified, super cool one. . .

One idea- Cy-kill could be made up of 2 parts- a robot rider that combines with the bike to help bulk him up. Whether it would form one half or just one part like the head (like Armada Sideways), I don't know.

I'm just going to throw a red bike out there.

Thank-you, Honda. This is their VFR1200F, whatever that means. It's red and silver and a super-bike. I know Cy-kill started life as a chopper, but I don't want him to have pipe arms again. Plus, choppers have typically never made good robots. TFA Oilslick was probably the one exception. What do you think?

    Starting with a new voice!

Not bad, not bad. But what do you think of this:

To me, it looks friendlier. Smaller, more compact, and just ... nice. :)  The Vectrix is bulkier, no doubt, and would probably lend itself to creating a sturdier robot mode, but just as far as the alt modes go I'm leaning towards the Aprilla.

I think you may be onto something here. A bike + rider combo can give a new take on Cy-kill. I would reckon the bot mode would at least not look so stupid.

Building on this, maybe the same rider + vehicle combo can be used to update Scooter.

For the uniwheel...I think it can work, if the fiction had Cy-Kill eschewing an Earth mode.

Cy-Kill would be awesome as a combining gang of Harley's, the riders of course being holographic.

For some reason sports bikes don't scream "evil" to me.

Yeah, it really doesn't. I think someone down at Tonka just said, "Oh, haha- cycle = Cy-KILL! He's so bad!" But he's really not. And from what I've read, Tonka didn't really take any interest in developing the story, leaving that entirely to Hanna Barbera. So somebody down at HB looked over the roster and seeing a few different tanks and such, kept looking until they happened to spot Cy-KILL! And they said, "OMG a motorcycle!" Or more likely, "OMG the word 'KILL' is in his name! He's our man!"

At some point in this thread I'm thinking of re-assigning factions to the bots, because it always seemed a little too arbitrary to me.
