Hey guys, do you all remember a show way back when in the 90's called "Reboot"? Well I just got to thinking, what if they made a reboot for "Reboot" I mean that was one of the best series in the 90s.

Questions. Comments. Concerns. Animated Shockwave. Drop a line?

Reboot was great (from the studio that brought us BW, BM, Weird-Ohs and War Planets/Shadow Raiders. Too bad the series ended in a cliffhanger. Megabyte as a trojan "upgrade" kicked ass.

people keep saying reboot was the first cartoon to be made in 3D.
yet, way before reboot ever aired there was an episode of 'incredible crash test dummies'.
too bad they never made more episodes.. the episode was full of clichés but still quite funny .

There is a reboot comic on the net right now that bridges the gap between the end of the series, and the possible but not confirmed future Reboot movies.

Also, they need to release this show on DVD, I mean... why haven't they yet! It was one of the best shows ever. Oh well...

Ahhhhh. ReBoot. It holds a special place in my heart. I didn't know it was produced by the same company as Beast Wars (Mainframe) until after Beast Machine ended, but it makes so much sense upon seeing the excellent quality of those shows.

I always thought Hexadecimal looked badass. Looks so evil.

hex was the animated blitzwing of her time.
    loved her split personalities.
    and her little pet Scuzzy.
I aboslutely loved all the little computer bits in the show, esp. with people's names. so creative.(like scuzzy...took me a while to get that one.)
thanks for the nostalgia trip...I'm gonna have to watch this again :)

Sadly I never saw Reboot, but Mainframe got their claws into me with War Planets: Shadow Raiders. Awesome bunch they were, and a damn shame they went out of business.

Actually, Mainframe changed their name to Rainmaker. I know before the name change they were making those Barbie movies. Right now their doing cinematics for games, like for the new Ghostbusters game. :D

Here a two good places for news and fan interaction.

    1. Created, and maintained, by GlitchBob

    ReBoot Revival

    2. The Java Hut--A great fansite put together by Julia Cat. You'll find a lot of discussions concerning the web comic--fan and writer/artist comments--along with current news. All in all, it's a great community to be a part of. BTW my screen-name there is "Candy". Say 'Hi' sometime... :)

imo, when people are referring to first cartoon--they're meaning first series.

The show doesn't need a revival; it needs a genuine ENDING.

Can't believe they brought it back with two crappy movies ending on a fucking cliffhanger.....

Besides, I just don't think there's any point to doing Reboot without Tony Jay (R.I.P. :(  )

Reboot was fantastic. I didn't watch it until its run on Toonami, but I really fell in love with it - especially the incredibly epic season 3. I found the follow-up movies to be pretty disappointing, though.

I heard a year or so back that dvds were in the works, but nothing seems to have come of that.

    @Paladin

Actually, the Revival came about because of the fans wanting a conclusion to The Hunt. (ReBootRevival.com existed about a year before the comic pitch contest on Zeros2Heroes.)

Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs were--well--not what they should have been. The creators are well aware of that, but there was stuff going on in the business. I don't have a good enough memory to say exactly what, but you can find info on the fan sites.

*edit*--my first sentence assumed a lot. There are several fans who joined the Revival because they wanted to see the series continue--not just conclude better.
