Why was Faith Leader released? Did anybody ask for a miniature Masterpiece Prime?
It's a more "in-scale" Masterpiece Optimus Prime to fit in with Classics, etc. It's not exactly miniature.
Yeah, it is perfectly scaled in relation to Masterpiece Grimlock, and Deluxe Autobots like Prowl, Jazz, Sideswipe, etc.
I don't collect Masterpiece toys because they are so out of size with other toys.
wait what is he voyager sized?
more or less. he's slightly larger than voyager grapple/inferno.
He also looks pretty good next to masterpiece grimlock. and he no longer TOWERS over masterpiece starscream/skywarp/thundercraker.
It was so igear (???) Could steal money from Hastaktom. When they cancel all toys for everyone you'll have to live with fact YOU ALL CONTRIBUTED.
Nah, I'm only joking. Sort of.
Not strictly true as already pointed out.
MP-01 sits perfectly fine with most Alternators/Binaltech too.
Please tell me your not being serious......
That's the cool thing about Masterpiece Grimlock and iGear Faith Leader. THey are in scale with Deluxe toys (cartoon scale).
Because a shitty little group of opportunistic Chinese losers caught wind that Takara were making a new, smaller Masterpiece Prime and wanted to cash-in as much as possible before what ended up being MP-10 hit the market, so they stole the original MP-01 mold, shrunk it down, cheapened it up, gave it a new ******ed name and flooded the KO market with it before moving onto their next bright idea of KO'ing the MP Seeker mold. In a nutshell.
The iGear lemmings will think that's just a blind bash, but it's just a slightly more blunt rundown of exactly what TCracker told us after the MP-10 reveal.
Wait, I agree that mold stealing is a dick move and all that, but wasn't faith leader released quite some time ago? Did they really know MP-10 was coming back then?
yeah as far as faith leader goes I think people might have it backwards. there was a FAN demand for an in-scale prime that fit the classics size, and igear answered.
tomytakara just released mp-10 this year, most likely as a counter to what igear was capitalizing on. I agree igear stole the molds and what not, but I believe the fan demand for an in-scale prime prompted faith leader's creation, not "stolen mp-10 plans" more then a year before it's release. though if someone can prove otherwise, I'm all ears.
The hate is strong in this one.
because as awesome as mp-01 is being a stand alone peice (or with megs) in all other situations it's just too big. PP-01 fills that area nicely, I don't like getting into the morality of it but I actually enjoy it much more in a manageable size.
Guys like you put the extra fuel on the fire that helps me want to buy iGear products. My Faith Leader (simplified version) is on the way and I can't wait to get my hands on the iGear Seekers
That was the distinct impression we were given. Supposedly the MP-10 design was lined up quite a while ago, and while iGear (and whoever else) didn't see exactly what it looked like, they were still able to catch wind of a new smaller MP Prime being in the works. Or at least something to that effect. Apparently a similar situation played out with the iGear Seekers vs. the upcoming new modified Takara versions, and TCracker even made a comment about that new third party Voyager Megatron likely being somewhat lifted from a factory leak. He'd be the one to ask.
Only when it comes to shitty little KO outfits hiding behind the protection of China.
Fair enough, and I hope guys like you who support this shit get royally burned on your purchases. So it all balances out.
I don't think I'll be getting burnt, they are great quality and cost much less than the official ones
They are way beyond "shitty little KOs"
Pretty Much this and what its worse is Igear is capable of making decent original figures.
I love my Kup head.
Of Legends sized figures yes but we won't know for sure until not Ironhide and not Ratchet are released.
