Do all combiners look like this? He is so skinny and his arms are so far from his body. The old G1 combiners had no articulation and had terrible proportions, this has bad proportions and looks so fragile. So why do people get excited over combiners? The only good one I've ever seen was Hercules and that's not even official. The main point of this thread is why do people get excited over combiners when most of them were really bad?
Okay people are saying this is just a complaint and bitching and not criticism. Do I need to explain this image below? Look at him. His legs are so far apart and the Brawl leg has no foot. His shoulders are like 2 inches from his body. He looks fragile and skinny. I wanted a big bulky strong looking robot like Bruticus is meant to be.

Looks mistransformed. Might resolve a lot the problems right there.

The only mistransformations I see are the crotch piece looks like it should tab together and the brawl leg has no foot. With them problems fixed he would still look horrible

It seems better to have a Bruticus rather than not have one at all.

Fairly certain there is a lot more than that; the arms (particualrly the right arm) look like they are way off from how they're supposed to be.

This pic alone makes him look much much better. You can tell in the original that BO's arms is horribly mistransformered. It goes down as low as Vortex's and he has a gun lol.
I don't think the toy will do is the shoulders. I think we are stuck withthat gap. Also, I tend to believe that the cannon will be able to sit on his back either officially or in a fan made way. Honestly my only beef is Brawl's knee and I'm hoping that his turret can spin around but thats a slim chance. And Brawl has a foot, its the purple and green thing on the bottom.

All in all not a bad reintroducion to real combiners. And remember all for well under $100.

nice thing about this will be that, like Superion, there are fan-mode transformations that will make it much better

Actually, much like the Dino/Mirage issue, I predict this thread will wind up being ignored while millions more of it's kind come :)

If you decided most combiners look bad, why are you claiming disappointment?

probably because he was hoping for something that looked like a combiner should, not a guy who is sprawled out, making him as wide as he is tall.

Deluxes are $16.99 so $19.19 after tax. Individually you are looking at $95.95 after tax.

A part of me thinks we will see a box set because of the PCC nature of this figure so $79.99 (supreme price point, may be $89.99 but then that will make a box set more expensive than individual releases) which is $90.39 after tax.

this is just the preview pic that we've seen. i'll at least reserve judgement until i see reviews or the actual product in person. could be just awkward angles, mistransformations, and photoshopped. still better than nothing though.

Got to love the fandom. It's either "sing praises" or "make dozens of threads to complain."

See...THIS is why I did not want the Combaticons to combine. I would have rather had fully fleshed out and proper alt modes and robot modes and just said "FUCK IT" to the combining gimmick. Bruticus doesn't really look so fantastic. You have to sacrifice too much at the deluxe scale, and keep with the deluxe price point, to really have it matter. THIS is why Hasbro doesn't do "proper" combiners...the final product always looks pretty disappointing. Leave combiners to third party, who doesn't have to worry about keeping the budget at the Deluxe price point.

That said I'll get him anyways. I've always liked Bruticus and this is the only chance I've got at a Bruticus combiner that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg.
