I got him off of ebay really cheap. Is he real or fake. if you need more pic lmk
the KO has red stripes on the tape stickers whereas the real one didnt....... so clue no 1 for ya
did they make the plastic foot variation for Frenzy? If not then it's not a KO.
Certainly looks pretty real. The only potential alarm bells I can see are the sheer cleanness of the chrome (it looks like there's no chrome wear at all, and since I don't think he's ever been reissued, I'd be surprised if he'd have held up 20-odd years completely unscathed), and what appear to be black plastic thighs.
But with a quick look at Fred's Workshop (always worth checking if you want to know about variations), it looks like the gold chromed version of Frenzy may well have had black thighs for some reason...
These were just things that came to mind, I'm no kind of expert on those kinds of subtleties...
Yea Gold chromed Frenzy did infact have black thights and feet and the Chrome on the guns look very messy like in their aplication if the pic is showing porperly on my monitor at the settings i have it at...
I think it's one of the newer K.O.'s that have made the rounds.
my silver gun Ko has die cast feet, so its not an early run KO. And again the non red stripe stickers points to authentic with mismatched weapons
Some late-release versions of Frenzy did have plastic feet (I think those had no stickers on the shins too)
Looks similar to mine, actually. Does yours say "Japan" or "Macau"?
It says Japan 1985
From what I've learned in the last day or so, I'm gonna concur with Bumble Prime. Looks like a real Frenzy (the gold chroming on the chest flies with the black plastic toes and thighs, and the wrist stripe's the right colour), but the guns that came with it would have been gold chrome same as the chest, so they've been swapped for different ones. Whether they're genuine or KO is an entirely different question...
I don't know if this helps, but it looks like the later run 1986-1987 of the original G1 Frenzy with the black plastic feet and non-sticker-ed legs.
