hey everyone, ive recently decided to make a giant Transformer. like a real Car, and make in into a Transformer. im starting a web show called "Scale It UP!" (first commercial should be on Youtube by the end of the week) with a friend of mine and obviously Transformers would be an awesome thing to scale up. so im curious-who should we use? i thought maybe an Alternator, but i dunno...

also, the giant Transformer would not have a real engine or transform by itself or walk or anything like that. but who would you choose? he needs to be

    -an affordable alt mode
    -a real alt mode
    -not too complicated in transformation

EDIT::also, if it has a toy already, that would be fantastic

I'd say G1 Bumblebee as a VW Bug would probably be the cheapest and easiest thing to work with.

I guess Unicron is out of the question huh?

G1 Ironhide, with a head!!!! I don't know how much that would set you back though.

Though this hinges entirely on whether or not you could find a dead Armadillo.

If you can't then I second the nomination for Boombox.

I vote for RiD Sideburn. It's mostly a shellformer, so all you'd need is the robot pieces and a spare Dodge Viper. :p

been looking around, and Alternators seem to be the best for this kind of thing-def. real car modes, and already at a specific scale, which is muy excellente ^_^ any alt. you guys think would be good? ive only heard Prime so far.

The only problem with the alternators is that they have relatively complex transformations, and you'd probably need to simplify the articulation to keep it from collapsing on itself. Honestly, I say go with G1 bumblebee.

Ditto. The Bee is pretty easy in every respect to do, and would be instantly recognizable.

While an alt like Prowl or Grimlock would kickass, i agree that it might be overly complicated. Bumbles would be much easier and a good first project, plus as already stated he's instantly recognizable.

G1 Megatron out of a real P38 would be rather do-able...

i was wondering if someone would ask this and the answer is-not yet. but we will, relatively soon, if our show is a hit. it all depends on responses to early episodes, which we will try to get up incredibly fast. but a Real Transformer is def. on the tops of our list
