Who is your favourite leader from Autobots and from Decipticons
    Autobots:
    Optimus Prime
    Rodimus Prime
    Star Saber

    Decipticons:
    Megatron
    Galvatron
    Deszaras
    Starscream

New leader (imaging that other transformer became Autobot or Decipticon leader)

I think with me Rodimus Prime was my fav character because of his flaws but Optimus Prime was THE leader.

Like it or not, Prime had flaws. The inability to judge properly the weight of his decisions, for starters. He made mistakes often in the G1 series and Marvel comics. His inherent nobility was such a big problem that he didn't care about the consequences. In Megatron's Master plan, the two parter, Prime definitely admits to making a mistake. And in the G1 Marvel comics universe, he basically allowed himself to be killed because he felt that he fought unhonorably, even though staying alive would have been for the better.

Anyways... Prime is my favorite character but I always wanted him to have an edge to his personality that really only showed through on rare occasions. Movie Prime almost was, but then he pretty much was going to let Megatron kill him, apparently not understanding the consequences of allowing Megtron to live on if he was dead.

While going through Season 3 of G1, Rodimus was trying to make peace with other civilizations and pretty much helped usher Cybertron back to a state of independence, and actually learned how to produce energy sources without humans. He just whined a little.

Anyways, the best character is by far Prime for me, but I think in terms of leading the autobots as a whole, Rodimus was pulling it off better.

For Decepticons, I'd go with Megatron. He just had a great personality and really no other Decepticon compared.

Marvel Comics G1 prime didnt deserve to carry that name. He was unlikable, frequently made absolutely stupid decisions, feels sorry for himself constantly, and was basically "emo".

I hated him, and felt nothing short of absolute bliss when he died. both times.

I don't feel that strongly against him, but really I don't mean that persona when I say Prime is my favorite. I just remember absolutely hating the issue he basically kills himself in the first time. At least he next time he went out and took Unicron with him.

Shockwave is the logical choice for the Decepticons. The Marvel Comic version at least. I like Thunderwing as a character too, but he was a little too single minded to be a really good leader.

For the Autobots, I think Rodimus Prime as the 'puppet' leader, with Ultra Magnus in the back-ground as the 'puppet master' leader was pretty good. Say what you want about him not being able to 'deal' in the movie, but in season 3 of the cartoon he was the rock that the Autobots laid their foundation upon. Blaster for the comics.

G1 Optimus Prime (cartoon), obviously. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but he has charisma up the wazoo. Rodimus had a slightly better track record, and absolutely trounced the Decepticons almost every time, but then again, they were severely weakened, and they had possibly the worst leader ever. Galvatron did more damage to his troops than the Autobots did for cryin' out loud - not only is it surprising he didn't get overthrown, its even weirder that his troops were loyal to him.

As far as Decepticons go, either Shockwave or Ratbat. Seriously, a logical economist is the kind of person you want making decisions, because they're usually good ones.

Prime and Megs for sure. Galvatron was an AWESOME upgrade, but I like Megs better. I never really liked Rodimus, I preferred Hot Rod.

In the cartoon, I think Ultra Magnus was a damn good boss, as Blitz Wing said. He gets a lot of slack for the 'can't deal' line, but he was right. As far as they knew Hot Rod's ship had been totalled - he can't bring 'bots back from the dead, and they were kinda busy at the time trying not to die themselves. Rodimus may well have fallen apart if not for his counsel later on.

Anyway, I would go for the obvious, Prime and Megatron.
