I would've been happy if there was at least ONE new mold in there. sheesh, 8 molds and 5 repaints already? common' guysss

ok, I've gone and mirrored the images in the first post of the thread.

 

Rather than a second repaint of a mold, it would be nice if they went ahead and gave all of the molds a chance at another go around via repaint (I'm looking at Longview for this one).

Not interested in any of these repaints. I wouldn't be interested in the High Score to Beast Box repaint, if it's going to be hot pink like that one in the ebay auction. If it's close enough to the original G1 colors for Beast box than, yeah I'd be up for that (although, it obviously wouldn't be called Beast Box since the legal department would be concerned about possible legal action from Microsoft about something that looks like a game controller and has "Box" in the name, especially with how paranoid Hasbro's legal department seems to be in that respect).

Cool, 3 more to add to my shelves. Now I'd like to see a repaint of Meantime as Time Warrior.

 

It IS a little odd that they would be churning out a THIRD repaint of Phone-dude already. And... a RED repaint. After just releasing a.... red repaint. Okay, I know they're different, but still.

It should have been a pink phone. Cash in on the girl-phone look and get another fembot.

As for the others, Hacker definitely looks better in these new colors, without the wretched green. And Photon looks fine. Kind of a neat color scheme on him, and I like the name.

I agree with others who are puzzled at the lack of a purple "Beastbox" repaint of High Score. Or a Meantime repaint. And heck, if we're already getting THIRD repaints, maybe a gold "Buzzsaw" version of the Booster mold? I still wonder if we might not be getting some of these as Botcon exclusives.... the Real Gear packaging doesn't sport the Paramount logo, as best I can tell, so they might not be off-limits like the rest of the movie line.

woo! more real gears in allspark power. photon (such a cool pun) and hacker are on my want list. They look metal and metal look is hot. The only reasons I'm not keen on the phone:

1. the factions have been well balanced in real gear up until this one.
2. There are better gears in my opinion than the phone. But you got to have a phone shelfwarming for the kids. a good marketting decision by hasbro to keep the phone around through alspark power, but I'm not after it.
3. unfortunately if this wave has a surprise 4th figure like a decepticon buzzsaw style from booster x10 or something I'll need this to complete the ranks/set.

 

Hacker X-3 looks like the only Real Gear that I plan on getting next year, then.

 

Not thrilled over the repaints, but at least the molds are good ones and the scenes are updated. I like them.

 

Guess this'll make all those Boombox customs a lot easier.

I'm getting them all. Yeah, I know I don't usually get repaints unless I don't own the original, but this line may not last much longer and I want to get every one.


Hacker looks fucking awesome BTW, Photon is also very nice. I do like the cell phone mold, and red is really nice on it.

 

I guess they look ok but I still don't really want em.

 

So is this only the second repaint of the camera so far...?

 

well, it's a good thing I didn't buy another power up for the boombox project. I don't like the color scheme of the original, so I'll use that one for the project and get this autobot repaint to keep the mold as is.

 

The last two were more detailed than the first ever were, so I'm getting them. Especially Hacker, he's just living proof, yet alternate mode > robot mode! The robot mode (on pretty much all of them) looks sort of weird with the colors on the alternate mode.

 

What, no Zoom out repaint?

 

I only like the Photon dude, but compared to the original, it's not different enough to warrant another..too bad.

 

I already have all these molds, yet I can't resist Real Gears ... even repainted ones. I guess is the basic size.

Since I have been collecting only the Decepticon versions of these, I'm going to have to snag Photon to complete it. I'm not happy with them forcing the same molds over and over.
