This guy finally came in today. I saw a nice seller gallery in another thread a few weeks back, so i'll leave my thoughts & some comparison pics. He is a nice size & obviously a nod to Gen 1 "Lazorbeak/Buzzsaw. I was happy to see he(Booster)is comparable to a real mp3 player in size & not like some of the other real gear figures(gamebot, longview & video cam bot) wich are tiny compared to the real thing. Making them look like its"KIDDIE TIME". BOOSTER is awesome in bot mode, the plastic on the wings is hard,NOT like the soft plastic on Cybertron Vector prime or TFTM VOYAGER ICE MEGATRON. The one downside is that he tends to fall forward due to his wings being top heavy(even with the gun mounted) and takes some effort to pose, but once you move the feet forward you can get him to stay down. All in all one of my favorite REAL GEAR figs along with the cellphone bot(Speed dial). Lazorbeak flys/spies again! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I have to totally agree with you on that one! I was choked by how small the binoc(longview),handheld (powerup) & the videocam bot was compared to their real life counterparts. I'll get those for my kids, but Booster, the camera bot,& speedial are mine!

I'm looking forward to all the Real Gears, and this guy is no different. Sold! Hopefully they come out with a Ravage RG at some point.

    I like!

But... wouldn't it make more sense for the player to be the other way up? My impression is that the circle is the buttons and the transparent bit the screen.

Very nice, thanks for sharing this with us. He's right at the very top of my wants list, one of my "buy on sight" TFs. Wish we could have a few more classic cassette types in the Real Gear line - not that I'm knocking what we are getting!

They should've made a Reflector for this series.

Your correct, but it was better to show the transformation from the bottom. That is where most of the steps take place.

They can call it whatever they want, but It's pretty unmistakably Laserbeak in design. Pretty excellent design, only let down slightly by the mild difficulty finding a pose which allows the tiny bird-feet-joints to hold up those big wings. It's a little surprising that this is the only one of the first six Real Gears to not have a simulated LCD screen of some sort. (wonder if they might've planned to put a sticker over the clear orange window at some point in the deign process.)

Not bad. I've ordered this fellow along with the rest of Wave 1.

I can't see cassette-bots working in this line when we have such 'hi-tech' digital devices making up the rest of the range: They'd be too much of a throwback.

I'm confused why he comes with 1 earphone. Couldn't they have made 2 thin ones that sandwich together to form the gun? The one wireless earphone is the only thing that looks "off" to me, otherwise I'd love it.
