    hi all,

I just got a KO soundwave and have decided to re-paint him purple as a homage to his purple appearance from the comics,

I plan to use Tamiya spray grey primer as base-coat then follow up with Tamiya purple for the blue body. I'm also gonna fix his legs so he can be posed a bit better. I'm also re-painting his chest screen red for the fun of it and install some LED lights.

Basically is it ok to use Tamiya spray? my brother told me it doesn't stick very well and I would be better of win enamel paint. Is this true?

I have no problems with Tamiya spray or brush on paints, The number one thing you need to do is prep the figure correctly and any paint will stick.

Cleaning it with warm water/soap and a toothbrush, using Goo Gone to strip off any residue from stickers and mold release, and then priming the surface for proper paint adhesion.
