I know I am asking for too much but I wish Hasbro would re-release
    20th Ann. Prime,but I do. I never even got one.Now I can't find one
for under $125 anywhere. So I hope Hasbro sees this and will
think about re-releasing it. I just want one but not at that price. Now
lmk what you think, whether I am crazy like G1 Red Alert or sane
like G1 Ratchet. Thanks TF Fans.

He's an almost guaranteed seller, why wouln't they re-release him. I hope they do. He is my perfect image of how OP should be. And I hope everyone who needs one can get one without doubling the cost. I vote YES to re-issue 20th Prime

And rest assured, Long Prime smokestacks will be for sale :)

As stated above, according to various sources, 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime is going to be released in the UK this year, and re-released in the USA possibly next year.

I would have thought to keep costs down, Hasbro UK would overproduce 20th Primes, so I'm guessing that the US should be seeing some as well.

He's supposedly the coolest Prime ever, and some would say best toy ever, so you bet by the time the 07movie comes out he'll be all over the place in new packaging.

People's Primes collections are going to bulk up majorly next year.

The release of 20th Prime in the UK may have nothing to do with Hasbro UK whatsoever.

TRU UK have been selling TFs which appear to have been imported from TRU in the U.S.(?) This combined with what i've heard about their price listings for Metroplex, (ten pounds lower than Hasbro UK SRP) suggests they are making an effort to circumvent dealing with Hasbro UK.

As for the stories that the UK release will have different packaging, i'm not sure if TRU provided the resources to have them repacked, or if Hasbro USA provided the resources, or even if that story is true.

The above is somewhat speculative, however precident combined with some of the recent actions of TRU UK suggests that Hasbro UK have nothing to do with a UK release of 20th Prime at all.

Time may tell the full story.

Very likely. With a relatively small cast in the movie itself, Hasbro may opt for the standard multiple examples of the same character at the same price point option. It may also see the release of the American version of MP Starscream.

Everyone who has bought from TRU have said they have had different packaging, the European style, except the SWTF which have been imported.

Hmmm, good point on the MP Starscream...anyway now that the Cyberton/Galaxy Force series has ended...the toyline that is...what's next?? Are we really having a 'break' from TFs in terms of the main line? Sorry, I have been out of the loop for quite awhile in terms of releases.

Interesting that it might be cheaper for stores in the UK to import from Hasbro US, you'd think it'd be cheaper to import from Japan (then again, the Japanese toys on the whole cost more, so maybe not). Still a neat idea though.

I hope we see another run of MP Prime, I miss my chance to get one and I've been kicking myself for it ever since. Needless to say, I am not waiting for him to go on sale this time and I'll make sure I have enough money to purchase him when I go hunting.

I don't know if we'll see Starscream in relation to the movie line, the neo-G1, or if he'll be a standalone like prime was. If anything, they should at least stick a movie label on him and I bet he'll sell better.

Cybertron isn't over yet. Why does everyone keep treating it that way when we haven't even had dozens of repaints shoved up our noses? let alone the fact that we've still got several new molds that have yet to be released. I guess that's what happens when we find out about what's coming so far ahead of time.

EDIT: I hope the MP Starscream is made out of plastic when he comes over to the states; lower price, easier to do repaints, and great for kitbashing because I doubt they'll repaint all the seekers.

It'd be neat if they through in a tiny spike (like HoC) figure with the re-release.

I *think* Hasbro UK started shipping it in Euro packaging, but TBH based on it's European price, the US package stock isn't going to be exhausted for a long time.

Perhaps not for the average toy store, but
if anybody has the resources to do such a thing, it's TRU. To put things in context; TFs cost 1.5 to 2 times the U.S. price in Europe. It's usually just as cheap to buy an imported Galaxy Force toy in the UK as it is to buy the Hasbro UK version. Sometimes it's cheaper.

Note also that Hasbro UK were found guilty of price fixing If they start loosing money becasue TRU acted where they failed to, i've no sympathy for them whatsover. In fact the thought of it puts a big grin on my face.

No 'break' for Hasbro in North America. About as soon as Cybertron is done, the 'Neo G1' line will appear, bridging the gap until the movie line.

Takara are doing 'Adult' themed TFs which so far this year has resulted in a few overpriced 'improved' reissues of toys that didn't need fixing in the first instance, and weren't rare or even in high demand n the first place.

    Their obession with Convoy persists.

They promised some sort of 'Big announcement' is comming in July (i think it was July??)
