Just hopped on BBTS and saw this up as their newest preorder.

    RD-05 Exclusive Dead End Repaint

    That price tag...ouch.

And I remember all the dislike for the Sideways mold...oh well.

My sideways and dead end stand fine...as long as he's straight up and down and noone opens a door/ breathes.

dude the only way the Sideways mold will ever be worth a purchase of over $5 to me is if it gets a new head (NOT Dead Ends) and a new paint scheme. both of these things need to be modeled after Armada Sideways. that car in purple and yellow with a Sideways head will set off fireworks in my pants. otherwise this exclusive is just an even more overpriced pile of crap than this mold already is

Eww, I can't say a car in purple and yellow would be very pleasing to my eyes.

maybe not, but still id definitely prefer it over the bland scheme this figure already has. even if it was like dark metallic purple all over the outside and then the robot mode had accents of gold or yellow id be happy

Don't blame the figure for your inability to stand him properly. Sideways is one of the most stable TFs I own. Of course, this is because I'm a genius.

Dead End has alwars been ugly to me, and will always be ugly to me. Looks like a Need For Speed reject, and to be rejected from NFS, the design has got to be REALLY ugly.
I agree...however, I must be the real genius here, because I can get him to do all kinds of poses with the legs transformed properly, into the insectoid look. I must apologize though for this HUGE run-on sentence.

Well then I must be an even bigger genius because my copies of Sideswipe, Sideways and Dead End all stood just fine on any surface with no problems. I do like the Dead End version better, but I couldn't see justifying this much money for a deluxe.

Meh, I don't like the insectoid look, so I wouldn't know. If they did a purple and black repaint on the other hand...
