It's been awhile since I was actually able to work on anything, so after lots of issues, discouragement and personal dilemmas to clear up, I'm proud to present my latest project.

Well, I was never able to get a hold of the Botcon Razorclaw, so I decided to make my own.

He started out as a Universe Leo Prime. The original mold is less than stellar, so I had a list of changes I wanted to make. First, lengthened the lower legs. Second, add a Neo-shifters ball joint to the waist. Third, add the same joints to the shoulders and so I could eliminate the horrid hinge that was originally there. Lastly, a new head and top mane.

The head is a mix of RotF Soundwaves hips, plasticard and putty on the Leo Prime noggin'. Soundwave also donated the loincloth. Since this all added width to the head, the cavity of the chest needed widened to allow for transformation. After that, I re-did the top mane and added wispy hairs and extra width to cover the gap.

The shoulders were a pain, but in the end the Neo Shifter joints wored perfectly. The gap fill are two hollowed out Warhammer mini bases that work well and fit perfectly.

He isn't done yet, with more paint and detailing to be done. HE's also getting a friggin' huge warblade that replaces the whip tail of the original mold. The sword will plug into a hole on his back panel when he isn't holding it.

VERY nice. This mold is crappy but when you work on it, it's surprising how much detail is in it and how much work is involved to make it great.

Looks awesome so far. Doesn't the neo shifter on the waist affect transformation?

    Thanks for the comments, guys!

Nope. The joint actually allows for more movement of the cat form. I'll post alt mode shots once I'm done with the rest of it.

Well, after ages of sitting on a desk collecting dust, I finally finished this bad boy.

    Thanks!

Forgot to mention that the blade is from a HGUC Epyon. It fit with the mold well, and can be shaped as a scimitar or as a whip.

If you're referring to the superlink gimmick, then no. I didn't see a point in keeping the back piece and also eliminated the weird arm joints.

I like that tail blade. Was it a Gundam Epyon whip?

That looks great. This makes a better Razorclaw than Leo Prime.
