I think Jane just saw more roles coming to him and wanted to get away from the comic-movie genre. He turned down a role in The Watchmen, too. As for this pic, I don't dig the look that much. I don't like the shirt, but I think these are early prelims, as they haven't started shooting yet. How'd you come across this, Violator? Just browsing around?
Didn't Jane say something to the effect of the movie taking far too long to get off the ground and staying attached to it was hurting his chances elsewhere in film roles.
I love Titus Pullo. Will definitely check this film out. BTW I don't much like the Jane Punisher flick. It was pretty bad toward the end and Travolta's baddie didn't make me hate him that much so I was kinda sad he got killed in the end. The fight with the Russian was crap imo.

Looks like it could be interesting, but I honestly didn't care for the last Punisher film as the fight with the Russian was the only action sequence that I really enjoyed. And Travolta's baddie didn't really seem all that bad... more like a spoiled brat that needed a spanking.
Go watch Rome, and look for Titus Pullo. You can't miss him; he's easily THE biggest badass in the whole show, and he's awesome. I think this is a very good choice to play Frank.
